I have charged scooter, says charged but not working. I suspect boys left it on without using as says it might not work. I see there is a reset button. How can I get it to go?
It says after use, switch off master switch as battery may not able to be charged if left on under use.It says after use, switch off master switch as battery may not able to be charged if left on under use.
I meant 'after' use not 'under' use. So this might be the problem whereby after being on charge all nite, it still wont go.I meant 'after' use not 'under' use. So this might be the problem whereby after being on charge all nite, it still wont go.

Hi there sorry to hear you are having problem, just a few questions
1 How long did you park your scooter up without charging batteries.
2 Did you fully charge batteries before you used it again and was they fully charged as some batteries need more charging time if they have been left.
drop me a line
Pete
PS My advice is do not meddle with control units as they are very costly if you break them.
Hi, check all the connections are clean. It could be the charger is done but some batteries when they get left for a long period without charge they won't take a charge any more. Disconnect from power supply before attempting any inspection. Check the wheels are turning freely and not binding. Then last of all the motor may have to be checked.
if i had it infront of me i could no doubt soon sort it out ,a absh here and kick their and it will work but without seeing it i have no idea i would suspect a fault with the control lever or the transistorised control panel thats controlling the relays but as stated without having a play with my meter i couldnt say
Kathryn Was the scooter working when she bought it? If the batteries were fully charged and now it won't charge then I would suspect the charger. If the scooter wasn't charged when she got it and won't charge then I would replace the batteries Hope this helps
Boy I hate working on scooters too many things can go wrong to make them not work. First make sure you are not in freewheel Make sure the lever at the rear of the scooter is in drive position. and you can't push the scooter easily without powering it up. If its not in freewheel then the problem could be a throttle pot problem or a speed pot problem or even a motor problem and there is no way I can troubleshoot your problem in this format. I would suggest that you have your provider check it or if Medicare paid for it have a repair service fix it for you. Sorry can't really give you a precise answer on whats wrong Good Luck Hope this helps
Make sure that the charger is fully connected to the scooter; ususally the controller lights will go slowly left to right to indicate it is charging. Make sure the charger is plugged directly into the grounded wall outlet, not into an extension cord or power bar. If the charger is not being recognized by the scooter, you may need to replace the charger, or at least the power cord to the charger.
If your scooter has been sitting unused for a while? If so, the batteries might not charge anymore and will need to be replaced. Contact the manufacturer for a service call or troubleshooting over the phone.
Good luck!
I will ask but don't take offence, so many people overlook the obvious, have you checked the free wheel lever/s are not set to free wheel (if it is the scooter will be relatively easy to push forward or backward) if set to free wheel then move lever/s to drive position http://www.pridemobility.com/pdf/Owners_Manuals/US_Scooter/US_Sonic_om.pdf
this is a link for the sonic scooter user guide, not 100% sure that it is the exact one or not but it should show you were to find the free wheel lock on your scooter it is in this guide and I would be surprised if it is not the same as yours. Hope that helps. Mark.
