Take the memory card from the camera and use a card reader to access and download the images. Some laptops also have a built in card reader that you can use.

SOURCE: camera wont turn on after trying to download pics to computer/can't find pics on computer now

You probably had a bad USB connection that supllied to much voltage (or had a bad ground or reverse polarity) to the camera and shorted out the circuit board. Disconnect all cables. Hook up to a charger and try again. If this does not work, the camera is fried, sorry.
