Need replacement part for front load machine

The washer around the door (the grey rubber piece) has a piece (chunk) missing and we need to find a replacement. Any thoughts/ideas? I have a Miele Novotronic W 1930 front load washing machine that is about 11 years old.

Manual release on door lock of a bosch nexxt series 100 washer

Try pulling door up before out. My washer does this when the rubber around the door gets a piece of wet paper under it, or I have overloaded it and the rubber gets moved. Once open, run your fingers around the rubber seal to verify nothing under it and that it lays smooth.

My grey rubber gasket around the tub has a 1" rip in it. This is located where you open the front load door and on the grey rubber gasket just inside. Is there a patch kit? Or do I have to replace...

I search on google and no such patch kit. I tried a bike inner tube repair kit and it seems to work, but my holes are less than 1". Check out my post. I have a gasket on the way just in case.

Water is leaking from the bottom of my washer, it is maytag neptune ,front loading washer

Check the door boot (typically grey rubber bellows looking ring around the door opening that keeps the water in the tub from leaking) for cuts.

The door leaks on my whirlpool front load model wfw8300sw03, looks like the door isnt sealing tightly, if I push on the door it stops lealing, any ideas?

you might have a bent door hinge, but most likely you have a worn door boot. its the grey rubber thing that the glass seals to.
try to lift up on the door to get the hinges back into place and if that doesnt work then you might need to replace the door boot.
look at the edge of the boot where the glass hits it. the glass must seal to the rubber and if the rubber is worn or torn then it wont seal.
not an easy piece to replace but it can be done. i wouldnt recommend trying it first as you will find it very tight to get your hands into and the clamps are hard to figure out as well.

Rubber piece

If you mean in the bottom of the gasket between the drum and the door the hole is to allow water to drain from the gasket to prevent standing water which will smell .

Mold on rubber around door

Yes he can change it himself just make a note of how it comes off and then reverse the process when refitting, the black is caued by damp and residue detergent, try doing a very hoy wash occasionally this will prevent this happening, it should also cure the stale smell that you get from the machine.
