Put Phone on Mute while on conference call

The "mic" button on the mitel telephone is your MUTE button. However, this may not work if you are taking the call on the handset (depending on the version of Mitel software on the main control). In this situation the MUTE button only works on handsfree (speakerphone) calls. Note well - if your office phone system has Music-On-Hold then **DO NOT** put a conference call on hold. MOH is extremely disruptive to other parties on the call,

This is how to make conference call. Dial the first number on your phone, when the person pick the call, put him/her on hold by pressing the option button and scroll down to hold.

Dial the the second number, when the person pick the call, press the option button and scroll to conference call. Select it and start making conference call.

You can do by calling a person and after it was answered put the call on hold and call another one and then put it also on hold and call the other one. then once all 3 were connected, select the conference option. But be reminded that not all cellphones are supported to do a conference call, except for the latest phones which I believe are all supported..

it doesnt really have one. you will have to use the flash button to put call on "hold" or just mute call when needed.

flash will put first line on hold while a second caller is added

technically this is a one line phone and therefore no hold button was needed

when you're in conference call just go to option and then select mute.

Some cell phones don't mute, but a *6 will mute your phone to the conference call center, and #6 will unmute if you wish to say something. This will not mute your phone, so when you hang up...you're always good to go to make calls. It only mutes a phone (any phone) to the server conducting the conference.

WHEN you are in conference ..
go to options(that is press left soft key)..dont worry the call will be continued..
then,it displays a list of options,press down until you see mute,click mute and the calls will be muted...

sounds as if you will need your vendor to program your phone and others that need be to have Handsfree/mute capabilities.. i assume since you can not mute then you can not place your phone on Handsfree either.

While the call is active, push the left button for options and scroll to mute.

• Establish a conference call between yourself and two other parties.

1. Make or answer the first call.
2. Put the first call on hold.
3. Make or answer the second call.
4. After the second call is connected, press [Feature] [3].
5. Press the line or intercom button of the first held call.
6. Press [Rls] to end the conference call

• To split a conference:
• Press the line or intercom button of one caller to consult privately while the other caller is on hold. To re-establish the conference, press [Feature] [3].

• To independently hold two calls:
• Press the line or intercom button of the first caller, then press [Hold]. The second caller is automatically put on hold. To re-establish the conference, retrieve one call from hold, press [Feature] [3], then retrieve the second call from hold.
