The manual for this scooter is at http://www.discovermymobility.com/store/scooters/summit-scooters/elite-portable-scooter/manual.pdf
The closest info I can find is page 14. MOVING AND TRANSPORTING YOUR Easy Travel Elite
6.1. Moving Your Easy Travel Elite in Freewheel Mode when unfolded:
The Freewheel switch (Fig. 1/17) is used for releasing the brake and moving the Easy Travel Elite without operating the motor. Before activating, make sure your Easy Travel Elite is switched on. Turn Freewheel switch to the "freewheel" position and push or pull the Easy Travel Elite manually.
NOTE: The Freewheel mode can only be activated after the battery is in place and the power switch (Fig.9/1) is turned on. Doing otherwise will cause a fault situation indicated by rapid flashing of the Indicator light (Fig. 9/4). See section 4.2.
WARNING: The Freewheel switch should never be engaged on a slope.
CAUTION: The seat back must remain in the upright position.

They seem to assume removal is obvious, I would check any connections from battery to scooter are pulled out and that freewheel mode is not engaged.

The battery is just ljfted off by lifting the handle at top front, there are no fixed connections to battery just the handle ..

Mine was stuck also, and I used a flat screwdriver at the bottom around the battery pack to “loosen” it. It finally lifted up and I discovered there were Velcro strips on bottom of battery pack! So after you get it out remember the Velcro is strong and is what’s holding the battery pack in place.

SOURCE: I need immediate help with

Check the area at the rear of the motor where the brake is attached after operating for a while if you can feel heat or hot at the brake motor area then the brake is sticking causing excess drag this in turn drains the batteries quicker and can be the cause of the clicking sound you hear. If the battery is not getting hot or the motor then the problem could be in the transaxle. Block the rear wheels off the ground and have the wife engage the throttle if you still hear the clicking noise place your hand on the gearbox /transaxle to see if you can feel a vibration in time with the clicking If you feel a vibration then the transaxle/gearbox will need to be changed If you see that the brake is dragging then the brake will have to be replaced If Medicare paid for the wife's scooter then they will pay for 80% of the repair. You can contact the provider that sold your wife the scooter to see if they do repairs or you can contact Repair xpress @1-877-581-3733 to see if they have a tech in your area Hope this helps you

SOURCE: charging sterling elite 2001 scooter batteries

If you use the scooter every day then plug the scooter in each night for 8-10 hours.

SOURCE: I have an Elite Traveler Plus.

The batteries will not accept a charge, therefore the charger things they are full. When a battery sits for that long then they drain beyond the point of repair.

SOURCE: battery won't hold a charge

More than likely duff batteries. Will it hold its charge if the batteries are taken off the scooter (i.e. remove the battery pack)? If so, it could be a short somewhere in the wiring of the scooter although I would have to say that this would be unlikely.

I got my battery pack off my Gogo Traveller Elite scooter. But the batteries are encased in plastic and I don't see a way to get them out. Help?

Turn the battery pack up side down and you will see holes around the outside of the case. With a long (12") Philips screw driver, remove 8-10 screws. carefully turn the pack back on it feet and the lid will come off. Be careful with the wires inside the battery pack and make a note of where they go.

Battery stuck on Pride mobility scooter

Hi. There are no locking devices on the GoGo Elite Traveller series of scooter. The Battery pack simply lifts off. However, they can be very tight and sometimes require a sharp tug upwards to remove them.
Hope this helps.

Have got 4 year old traveller plus both lights on the charger do not come on when plugged in

The 17 amp hour batteries on this scooter rarely last more than 1.5 years. If the batteries are 4 years old, find some replacements on-line. With a long phillips screwdriver it is easy to open the battery box and replace the 2 batteries yourself. You should check the 2 fuses to make sure they are not burnt open and are making good contact. Hope this helps

I have a pride go go elite traveller 4 and need some new batteries, but what batteries and connection am i looking for?

Rachel you need 2 12/12AH batteries that are located in the battery pack under the seat. Simply pull the battery pack from the scooter and with a standard phillips screwdriver remove the many screws attaching the battery pack together (simply turn the pack over to get to the screws) There will be two wire on each battery and also a heat sensor attached to the side of one battery remove the wires from each battery and carefully reove the heat sensor. You can bring one of the batterys to your local battery warehouse type store or a provider and purchase 2 new ones reinstall like you removed attaching red wire to red terminals and black to black terminals and reattach the heat sensor to the side of one battery (you can use packaging tape to reattach). replace all the screws to put the case back together and reinstall in your scooter. Charge the batteries with you charger until the charge light is green then happy riding HOPE THIS HELPS

Go Go Elite Scooter - charger location problem on scooter

This is because of the inhibit circut, there is no good way to disable it, how ever one suggestion is to simply lift the battery pack off the chair and place it on a table or counter top so getting to the charger port is easier. The batteries don't have to be on the chair to charge them.
