"A jack lift is a mechanical device used as a lifting device to lift heavy loads or apply great forces. Jacks employ a screw thread or hydraulic cylinder to apply very high linear forces.
A mechanical jack is a device which lifts heavy equipment. The most common form is a car jack, floor jack or garage jack which lifts vehicles so that maintenance can be performed.
More powerful jacks use hydraulic power to provide more lift over greater distances. Mechanical jacks are usually rated for a maximum lifting capacity (for example, 1.5 tons or 3 tons)." (Wikipedia)

One of the valves in the reservoir ain't werkin'.....The quick lift one. Check your oil level in the jack and see if it is low. If so, fill it with jack oil and see if that fixes the problem.

Lift will not work

There is either air in the system, not enough fluid in it, the valve that lowers it is not closed or the orings are bad.

Lifting points for 2010 HD Ultra Classic Trike. I have a 1500 lb. ATV/Motorcycle lifting jack

Lift points differ only in the rear end, using a flat jack you will have to jack up one side or the other, unless your doing both for some reason, which you will have to use 2 jacks and jack up at the same time.

How to remove old shackles and install new lift shackles in my drive way on a 2005 ford ranger 4x4

You need two jacks and jack stands (for safety while you are working under the truck)--one jack to lift the truck frame and the other to lift the axle to take the load off of the spring. Do only one side at a time.
