I took the lines off of the pump and pulled it off,,,to my suprise, there was about $3 in change in the pump...cleaned it out and put it back together and it works great again. no idea what that had to do with the spin speed,,,,but it worked.....just an idea

How do you test the door lock Switch?

SOURCE: I have a frigidaire affinity front loader washer

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during the spin cycle and the machine will not spin unless the switch is activated. The machine works except advancing to the spin cycle and this signifies that the auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to address the issue.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the electrical connections then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.

Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

Does not empty after final spin cycle I have checked the pump and hoses. The only thing I see may not be right a cylinder shape is in the boot at the outlet.

Hi Peter,
So I see that your Frigidaire Affinity washer is not draining completely after the final spin. I also see that you've checked the pump and hoses as well. There are a couple of other troubleshooting tips I might suggest.
1) Make sure the standpipe isn't too tall. Maximum standpipe height should be 8' (2.4 m).
2) Check the house drain pipes to see if they are clogged. If so, unclog the drain pipes. Contact plumber if necessary.

My frigidaire affinity atf 7000eg0 will not spin

Hello starrz8 - Is the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose or pump is clogged and needs cleaning. If not, then the unit may possibly be experiencing an issue with the control board not communication correctly, faulty pump, timer, door lock assembly or something more severe like a damaged tub. I will personally recommend contacting a certified technician for a proper diagnosis and to move forward accurately.

I have a Frigidaire Affinity LTF 8000 washer that will not complete the spin cycle. Items are still completely wet when wash is "finished". Even in "spin only" mode, I can hear the...

If you cant access the drain pump from the front then you will need to pull the machine out and tilt it back as far as possible safely, this will allow you access to the bottom of the machine and the drain pump. You will need a basin to catch any water that will come out when you remove the drain pump. The pump should only be held in by 1 or 2 screws and pulls or twists off. If the pump is clear then you will need to remove the pipe that goes from the pump to the drum to check for blocks, commonly a sock is blocking it. hope this helps
