Cannot get my goodmans 289ns to accept the virgin digital signal

The range and the airial antena have trouble recieving the new location air signal.Try buy a new digital antena and install it.Auto tuning it again.Should work fine.

This usually means poor signal , HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH MY MOTHER IN LAWS TV, Take tv to other aerial point in another room ( i brought mother in laws tv home to my aerial ) and do a retune,
This could sort things out.

There is an optical output from your Virgin + box but there is no optical input in the Goomans, there is only 5.1 input. The only way to do it is to connect the re and white phono audio output from you virgin box to the red and white tv inputs on the goodmans, this will sound good but it will not give you dolby digital sound.

I don,t where you live & therefore I don't know which transmitter you will be picking but this sounds as if your local transmitter has now stopped transmitting the analogue signal. You maybe aware from a lot of advertising that this form of signal will be getting turned off in different areas around the country so unless you have cable or a digi-box or a digital TV then you will not receive any signal. As you have the Virgin box you will still receive channels 1 to 5 on digital but not on analogue.

Hi, try hooking your tv or box up to it and do a channel scan, you got nowt too loose

Your son more than likely changed the input source. You may be able to change it back by pressing the channel up/down button or you may have to enter the menu on the tv and change inputs that way. PS's will usually connect using a video input using a red/white/yellow cords. You may also want to ensure the connections are in their proper place as I do not know how savvy your son is at changing the setup over to play his PS. If you use a modulator to connect to the TV-either the PS or aerial- ensure that it is powered up also. I hope this has been of assistance to you and thanks for using Fix Ya. 50% trouble of tv is lose connection so, try to re solder it but be care of short circuit

in your remote control there will be one button calles ASM or auto search mode you press it (or auto) tv will tune one by one channel automatically & it will stop. now from prog. button you can up &down channals. from vol +&- vol up& down. good luck.
