The main power supply regulator board has the fault. The starting voltage might be faint. Contact any service technician. This is not a user repairable fault.

Might these be "driving lights"? Cars with "driving lights" have lights that are supposed to stay on all the time the engine is running. These lights not only look like headlights, in fact some cars even have the headlights themselves come on when the engine is running. Look as some more (several) 2002 Grand Marquis's and see if they are the same. Be blessed.
this is very common. it is the power supply going bad. it should run at
130 volts dc. but it is now running much lower that this. just enought
for the tv to come on. but not enough to power all the circuits right.
If the tv is still under warranty, this can be repaired at no charge.
However, if not under warranty, you will need to have the CAPACITORS on the main power supply circuit board tested (or replaced).
The capacitors responsible for the power supply can sometimes fail - open the back panel. If the capacitors on the main power supply board look too fat, or signs of burning near the solder joints, then you've found the problem.
When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.
Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.
I had a tv come in doing the same thing and a cap had been ripped from the circuit board I traced it back to the remote input from the front of the chassis. i havve no dea what value to but back so i have replaced it with several various fareds none work perfectly but some are better than others.

Hi chevry, universal remotes vary with respect to button options. For a Sanyo TV you can try these codes. (This is manual mode). 0098, 0066, 0091, 0023, 0017, 0027, 0080. Press the TV button on the remote. Than press & hold the set button until the LED stays on. Enter the four-digit code. When the remote control recognizes the correct code the LED will turn off. If the code is not correct the LED will flash several times & stay lit. Enter the next code. (You'll have less than 25 seconds to try another code) or the remote will exit the programming mode. How to use the auto search. (One code at a time). This will take some time. Turn on the TV. Press & hold the set button until the LED comes on, point the remote at the TV & press the volume + once (This moves the remote through 1 code at a time. Continue to press the volume + (Do not do this very fast or you'll miss the correct code), until the TV turns off or changes channel. Than press the set button again & the LED will go off. The remote should now be programmed for the TV. Test TV by turning the on/off button on remote. Check volume up & down.
