When I start the machine it asks me to enter F2 for start up. I did that. Then it turns into a rolling screen with lines on it.

It seems like graphics error or setting error. go to bios and check for proper graphics setting. if it is windows system try to login to safe mode( if windows press F8 and you get menu select safe mode) change the display resolution to low then try to login to normal mode.

How to enter bios on gateway LT2802u?

i can tell you what to try... its going to be the delete key, f2, f10, or f12... when the machine is first starting to turn on (boot) steadily tap one of those keys and it will get you into the bios. try del first, if that doesn't work, then try f2... go down the line, one of them should work for you.

How do you turn frequency on when in the stats table mode on a casio fx-9750gii?

There is no such thing as turning the frequency on on the Casio calculators. Just enter your data in lists. Choose one List where you put the frequency information. When you want to GRAPH or perform CALCulations you have a TAB labeled SET corresponding to key F6:SET. When you press F6, a new screen open where you assign the list to the variables.
Here are a few screen captures to help you.

k24674_68.jpg

Press F2:CALC (or F1 Graph). The Tab SET appears at the bottom of screen

Press F6:SET
k24674_70.jpg
Higlight the line 1-Var Freq (or 2-Var Freq). The bottom of screen shows F1:1 and F2:LIST. If frequencies are not equal to 1, press F2:LIST to assign the frequency list. I entered 2.

k24674_71.jpg

List2 is now the frequency list.

Press EXE to perform stats.

See that n=19.

I have a emachine T2824. It will not boot I have a recovery disc but it wont boot from it. Keep asking me for a password. Windows XP pops up but it goes away and then a blank screen with a flashing line in...

When you first turn on your system look at bottom of screen it should give you info to enter setup, more than likely it will say F2 to enter setup. If you are able to enter setup check Boot devices and change from hard drive to cd rom than you will be able to boot to recovery disc. Be careful that you write down any changes you make so you can reverse them if you have any issues. it is fine to leave boot to cd.

Nothing but multi colered lines verticly on the screen

Try this:
Turn it off.
Disconnect power cord and any other device attached to it.
Take battery out.
Without anything attached. Hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds.
Connect the power cord only.
Hold down F2 (while it's off)
Turn it on while holding down F2.
Let go of F2 when something comes out of the screen.
If multi colored lines still appears.
You have either defective LCD(screen) or video card.

Cannot find primary or secondary drives

you need to enter the BIOS as the computer starts by tapping del or the keycombo your dell asks for to enter startup or BIOS setup, i vaguely remember f2 or f10, but the combo is posted on the screen as you start the computer.
once in the bios, the first screen should show your harddrive on the primary and your cd rom on the secondary. If you can reset these to "auto", restarting the computer should auto detect them unless a cable is lose inside or you have a virus . try this and post again here...
