Microwave blows fuse
The most common suspects are the high voltage transformer and the magnetron.
It's also possible you have a flaky door switch or loose door switch mount.
If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info (as well as a text file which helps in diagnosing and repairing door switch problems) at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

Since the posting,of the clock failure and need for reset the mircoWwave GE model JVM16535H01
spacemaker XL has developed a new problem..this am i went to reheat a cuppa coffee and it would not shut off..i had to unplug it to reset it..original problem with the clock failure persist..
Ok...the situation as now gone to not heating at all...it strips the clock and when reset it continue to trip...will not start up and heat...looks too like it might be the magnetron now that nothing works...thanks in advance
So,my brilliant step son found a workable solution....on another site he discovered that the anti static film used to wrap computer hard drives etc provides a shield from what an engineer discovered was leaking RF from the magnetron...and it works..running fine as we speak..
What do I wrap the muffin in to reheat it in the oven?
