My crankshaft has froze up

Sounds like you may have a blockage somewhere in the bobbin area that needs cleaning as this is normally what happens when it gets jammed. Reverse sewing can sometimes cause jams. Remove bobbin area and reassemble.

Make sure the bobbying is lettinng out the string first and also make sure the dial on the left side of machine is on 6 .when you turn the maching around , looking at the back make sure switch in too your right. Also just unplug the maching could help, my wife just had the same problem...

Hi, If you can get the top cover off, spray the whole shaft and moving parts with wd-40, let it sit for a few hours and then try it again. If it still does not move, spray it again and let it sit over night.
It should work. If not, you'll have to take to your local repair shop. But try the WD-40 first.

My janome 6500 has frozen! The machine started making a sound like it was dry, needed oil,then the the wheel just stuck!...the bobbin is fine,no thread nest there...in the display window is ...BM phase error... PEASE HELP! THANKS!
