When I scan something with my magic instascan I can not find it on my computer. Doi need to install something first?

There is probably a software driver that needs to be downloaded to interface between the magic wand and your computer. Go to the manufacturers web site and see if they have one.

after an upgrade trial you might need to reinstall because its a trial but if you have purchased the key you might not

if you do have to do a reinstall use the magic belly key finder to locate the serial key

1st You download Webcam Driver.
I have windows 8 and need to install logitech quick cam v11.1. How doi do this?
After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.

the drive has developed some bad sectors on it
click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive or
click start control panel administrive tools,computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now,start should schedule this task when restart
do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage your computer
then defragment your hard drive
or you could download partition magic
when you download partition magic you will have the option to make rescue to disks to boot from make these disks then change your first boot device your to floppy drive this will give you options to partition then partition only the good sectors of your hard drive and install an operating system to the good partition Partition Magic 8.0 Partition Magic 8.0

To clear out the problem if Network Magic has something to do with your connection.

1) Uninstall Network Magic from host computer.

2) Remove Ethernet connections to router.

3) Reset the router (press & hold reset button for at least 15 secs.)

4) Run Setup wizard on host computer and follow on screen instructions on connecting PC to router.

5) Setup wizard prompts on installing Network Magic, just ignore it.

6) if it automatically installs Network Magic just uninstall the program before you fully use your router.


Resetting router clears all settings made by Network Magic application made on the router.

To scan something from your printer to the computer you should have the hp solution center installed in your computer double click and open the solution center place the document or the picture that you wnat to scan on the glass bed of the printer (the text content should face towards the glass)
now click on the scan document or scan picture button on the hp solution center a window will come up click n the scan button then a window will come up showing the preview of the scaned document or picture click finish to finsh the scan
now you can view your scan by going to the MY SCAN folder in MY DOCUMENTS

In my humble opinion, the best option is to install a second (blank or larger) drive. Install some recovery software such as "easy recovery pro" or something that will be able to read files from a filesystem that has had the partition table written over. Start with trying to scan using FAT32, and in failing that, try NTFS. Restore the data to the second drive, format the first and partition as required. Copy the data back to the first drive to the partitions that you specified, and erase the data from the second drive.
