Getting "error - invalid URL

That means that whatever you typed into your browser's address line is not a valid internet address. Either the address was miss--typed, or that address is not valid for some reason - like not in business anymore or never existed in the first place.

Having trouble accessing router's setup page?

Note: If you cannot access the router's page, check the computer if it's getting a valid IP address from the router. Click Start then type CMD on the Search box then press Enter. A black window called Command Prompt will appear, just type IPCONFIG then press Enter. It will display the IP address.
- Scenario 1. If the IP address starts with 169.x.x.x --- not getting IP from router
  • Scenario 2. If the IP address starts with 192.168.1.x --- getting IP from router
  • For scenario 2, since the computer is getting IP from the router, try to PING the router to test connectivity. Open the Command Prompt again, type PING 192.168.1.1 then press Enter. If you see the word reply 4 times then it means the computer is communicating with the router.
  • Clear the cache, cookies and history of your Internet Browser then try to access the router page again.

Why are there times when it only prints half a page?

Hi Mary,

Try and print a hardware self test on the printer to find out if it is a hardware or software issue. Open this link in a new tab in your browser...
Printing a Network Configuration Page.
If you have a valid IPv4 address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)
If it loads the printer's network page then the printer is on the network.

Power cycle the router, computer and printer.
Try printing again.
If you don't have a valid IPv4 address, then do the following steps:
Restore the printer defaults.
  1. On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button (). The Wireless menu displays.
  2. Press the button () next to Settings.
  3. Press the Down Arrow () to select Restore Defaults, and then press OK.
  4. Press OK again to confirm your selection.

How to fix Local Area Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration

first try rebooting your laptop. many times this resets whatever is having an issue.

is your laptop set for a static IP or DHCP? Go into the properties for your connection, click on Internet Protocol v4 and click on properties again. Make sure you select "Obtain IP Address Automatically" and Obtain DNS server address automatically.

If you're using a static IP, you'll need to verify that your address is correct with your network administrator.

Lastly, you could open a command prompt (click start and type cmd). enter the following commands one at a time:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Hellp me

i assume that you are accessing the web page by typing http://192.168.0.1 on the address bar of your internet browser(default username is "admin" and leave the password blank ". if so,

-check if the computer's ip address is on the same segment as of the router's ip address (go to command prompt and type ipconfig or right click on your local area network and click on properties to check the ip)
-if the the computer is getting a valid ip address, try to ping the router's ip address and check if it'll provide you replies. if so, try to disable any firewall or any antivirus enabled on the computer
-if the computer is not getting a valid ip address, make sure that the computer is set to dhcp instead of static ip. check if there's a light on the port where you connected your computer. if there's no light on the router, use another port or use another known working ethernet cable
-if this router is just for inital setup, try to reset it and try again
-you can also try to use another computer or another web browser to isolate the problem

hope this'll help you.

ciao!
