How to change the number of rings on my cordles telephone TRU9260 series

The CS6719-16 isn't an answering machine. It will ring until someone answers, some other answering machine picks up, or the caller hangs up.

If you want to change the number of rings before an answering machine picks up, please reply to this post and specify the answering machine.

Press the CLEAR button just above the 1 on the number pad.

The ringtone for the CO or outside line buttons can be programmed by pressing program then press the
CO button twice, enter the ringtone you want by dialing 01 to 08, press enter or store then program to end. This will set the ringtone for that line assuming it is programmed to ring at that phone. Transferred calls will use the ringtone of the intercom button which can be set by the same procedure. Use the same procedure if calls ring to a Group Directory Number(GDN) on the phone. The 7600 series of digital phones have ringtone settings of 01 through 30.

Distinctive Ring basicsDistinctive Ring service is an optional service available from many telephone companies. The Distinctive Ring service permits you to assign more than one telephone number to the same telephone line. Distinctive Ring allows you to use a single phone line for both voice and fax calls. You can assign a unique phone number and ring pattern for incoming fax calls. When a fax comes in, each telephone number makes a distinctive ringing sound, such as a single ring, double ring, or triple ring.
NOTE: The Distinctive Ring Service is the name HP and others use to describe this feature. Distinctive Ring is also known as:

The Distinctive Ring Service allows the HP product to work similarly to a dedicated fax line. If you connect an HP fax product and a telephone to one telephone line, you can assign one telephone number for fax calls and another for voice calls.
NOTE: You cannot send or receive faxes when the phone line is in use. Even if the HP fax product has a separate telephone number, it is still sharing the same phone line. Step one: Turn on Auto Answer Turn on Auto Answer by pressing the Auto Answer button on the control panel.    • All Rings
   • Single Rings
   • Double Rings
   • Triple Rings
   • Double & Triple Rings

6. Press the Back button ( ) to return to the main menu.

Your phone is using the same frequency as the wireless router (2.4GHz). It would be very difficult to prevent this unless you change:

1. Phone to corded system.
2. Change phone to cordless DECT (5.8GHz) system
3. Change network router from "G" series to "N" series.

It looks like you have a distinctive ring service from your phone company. Change the ring pattern of your fax to its assigned ring pattern (double or triple ring). It could be assigned to 'all rings' right now, that's why your fax is picking up your landline calls as well.
