Quinny buzz keeps collapsing when in use, seems like the mechanism isn't holding the buggy in place properly. Buggy is second hand so no warrantee. How can I fix it myself? Seems like a common fault when I search the forums but haven't found an answer yet.

Had this collapsing problem and it was the webbing retaining strap that hangs down towards the rear of the basket preventing the frame opening out properly. More accurately it was the metal 'D' clip that secures this strap in place, if it is in the wrong position it stops the frame sliding fully open, and is not immediately obvious as the grey clips on the handle partially engage. Mine was driving me mad collapsing over kerbs and such. Actually removed the 'D' ring in the end and no more woes.(photo shows 'D'ring half removed )

SOURCE: my buggy is a quinny zapp i dont know how to fold

First make sure the brake is on. There are two round Grey buttons, one on either side of the frame (about halfway down) they should have a small red triangular numbered sticker above them (1 & 2) Stand behind the pushchair where the handles are and press the left one in (that's number 1) and gently fold the frame a bit but not too much! Do the same with the right one (number 2) when the frame starts to fold in bend the bar down that sits between the handles and place your foot on the Grey pedal located at the bottom of the frame in between the brakes (number 3) and slide it towards the front of the pushchair, as you do this the whole frame should close up.

SOURCE: quinny buzz stroller keeps collapsing when in use

Hi if you bought it within 60 days you can open up a claim on ebay & get a full refund. i sell them in perfect condition & would never sell 1 that is faulty. The only other option is if you are putting bags on the handle this will make if fold up on itself. contact me @ [email protected]

My quinny buzz has suddenly become very heavy to steer

Check your tyre pressures, if they are too soft it will feel like the buggy is really heavy. the other thing that will affect it is the weight of your child. My son is quite heavy for his age and coupled with whatever is hanging off the buggy, makes for one heavy buggy! You might also want to lubricate the axles.

Quinny buzz handle won't extend and frame has started to collapse unexpectedly while baby in push chair

Sounds like the handle bar extender mechanism has broken internally and the Gas strut is faulty. This happened to mine. Both parts are readily available from Dorel UK 01842 763 281 (Mon – Fri, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm). They are the sole supplier of parts for Quinny. However, the Gas Strut is a pressurised mechanism and has to be replaced by Dorel. You will need to speak with them and arrange for the frame of the buggy to be sent to them (at your cost if out of warranty) and they will replace whatever parts you need plus do a full service.

Folding Quinny speedi Sx Stroller

In the middle of the underneath of the pushing handle, below where the hand brake lever is there should be a button. If there is, this is what you do.
1) put the foot brake on so the rear wheels wont turn.
2) unclip the clips on the frame that allow you to adjust the height of the pushing handle, they open up, and leave them open, like this the handle you push the buggy with should slide up and down.
3) pull this handle out to its tallest position
4) Hold the handle and press the button mentioned at the start in and hold it in
5) Then quite quickly push the handle down as though you were either pushing it to lower its pushing height, or shoving it away in a temper. It needs to be a firm and quick movement.

Ta da!! After a couple of tries it should click and fold up.

I hope this helps.

How to fold a quinny buzz

Hi, you can download the manual from the quinny website, but as a quick guide, the best I found was - first stand with your foot against the front wheel (so it doesnt move forward) then press the grey buttons on either side of the chassis and at the same time draw the frame downwards towards your foot, please remember you can only fold down with the seat in place if the seat is facing forward (ie baby facing outwards) it wont fold down with the seat facing mum, there are also demos on you tube, hope ive helped and not been too complicated :)
