My right speaker no longer works. It was fine yesterday. When I do the speaker test, the left one gives out sound but the right is silent. I'm getting no sound whatsoever when I play You Tube videos.

I have polk audio rm 705 purchased from my friend a month ago. these are working fine but one day one speaker just have very low sound coming from tweeter where as the main speaker is silent.

Try switching the speakers left to right. If the same speaker is bad on both channels, the speaker is bad. If the good speaker is now bad, the unit driving the speakers is bad.

That, my friend, is in your balance system of the radio itself. Check it with other speakers you know are good. You'll see what I mean.

Onkyo TX-DS 595 receiver surround channel unrealiable

How you power off the amp won't hurt it generally. I used to fix ONKYO amps under warranty, and I can tell you now, it will be full of dry solder joints. Take you unit to your local repairer, and they will resolder all the offending PCB's inside. This type of repair will fix 99% of strange audio noises and cutting in and out etc. for ONKYO recievers. Otherwise this is quite a good product.

My right speaker is no longer working. I have an

This could be as simple as a bad connection or more derastic like defective output transistors. Without looking at the unit and taking measuerments, it is impossible to say. As silly as this sounds, make sure you didn't hit the balance control all the way to the left. If not that, then I would suggest getting a detailed repair estimate from a servicer. Report the results of that estimate here and we should be able to walk you through the actual repair.

swap the wires around to see if the right speaker will give sound on the left channel. If it does, the it's a blown left speaker. If you don't get sound out the right one either, then the left channel ouput has a bad capacitor somewhere in it.

Left channel not working

The first thing I would check has already been done, the only other thing would be fuses. I am preety sure there is a protection fuse at ever channels output to protect against a dead short. I am sure you have already fixed this problem but I thought I would give it a try. Let me know what you found.

Both left and right speakers play audio for right speaker

I think you mean the left channel is out but when you use test tone, the sound comes from left and right channels through the right channel speaker. If this is case, the switching IC is malfuncting. Unit needs service
