Does it shut down and then just start right back up? If it does then press and hold the power button and make sure it shuts down all the way. Then take the battery out and press and hold the power button after the battery is out for about 5 seconds. Then let it sit like 10 - 15 seconds. After that put your battery back in and turn it back on and see if this solved your problem. I think its in a loop to make it keep restarting. Let me know if this helped. Thanks, Herb Stacey

See let me talk with you from experience...

The only thing that can be done is system restore to factory default and remember to backup your documents.

This is the only way to resolve the problem you are going through.

Cheers.

SOURCE: Toshiba satellite 5105-s607 insert system disk

Log into the bios and change the boot order to boot from the CD - it will then boot up your CD system Disk first
As the PC boots - you should see a message to get into bios/setup usually F10, F2 or del key varies buy manufacturer
then look for the bios section for boot order and make sure the CD/DVD drive is set to before the harddrive

SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop keeps shutting off for no reason.

Hi,

System Restore tool provided on Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop can help you to restore the system to an earlier date. The sudden shut down problem may occur if some important system files are missing. System Restore makes use of the backup copies of important files in the restore point to replace faulty ones that are causing the sudden shut down problem. Restoring the system to an earlier trouble free time will help get rid of the sudden shut down issue in Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop.

How to reset bios password on toshiba satellite l645d-4040

Steve,

Found this link, it recommends either taking it apart and popping the CMOS battery (which a geek like me would do) or using a popular tool called Hiren's boot CD. I've used it a few times, but you'll have ot have another PC handy to burn the ISO for the program to CD.

Satellite L655D-S5093 keyboard removal

This is the User's Manual for the L655-S5098 laptop:
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=SB&os=&category=&moid=2759985&rpn=PSK2CU&modelFilter=L655-S5098&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663

Predictably, its useless when performing maintenance such as keyboard replacement, but page 82 indicates that this laptop supports "most USB-compatible [external] keyboards", so, while the chicklet keyboard is down, you can boot and use the system with a workaround USB keyboard.

I could not find an L655-S5093 laptop model on the Toshiba support web site, which is found at http://www.pcsupport.toshiba.com

The closest I could locate for you are these two How-to Guides:

just got A75 toshiba and was having same problem.. put it on cooling pad for laptops and seems to solve problem..most people think laptops are designed to use on their lap..the cooling system has to have plenty of room to do it`s job. unit should be used on hard surface and some need assistance from cooling pad, look for one on Ebay.

Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop keeps shutting off for no reason.

I think your fan might be broken....if the fan doesn't cool the pc,the processor or the chipset will automatically shut down the pc to prevent burning hardware.Or your hard drive might keep crashing.Oh yeah and abstract from this i don't recommend ever using mcaffe
