I plugged my 110v KG25H3XWH mixer into a 220v outlet via a voltage transformer and turned it on. It immediately sparked, popped, emitting a burnt smell and tripped the circuit breaker. Is it possible for me to fix it? I am overseas without a service centre. Thank you.

First here is the link to a good suuplier with OEM parts for 110 and 220 volt http://www.appliancezone.com/SearchProducts.aspx?ID=9707627&x=12&y=7

you can change any KA mixer from 110 to 220 and 220 to 110, you need the armature stato phase control board and speed swith for eith conversion, the 220 madel number or 220 model has a letter in front of the ka which is the indicator for 220 volt go to http://www.kitchenaid.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/OCManualsLiteratureSearchResultView?catalogId=10552&langId=-1&storeId=10202 for a exploded parts list and part numbers look any where for a KA 220 volt model and you can find the same thing

First never do that again. Second yes you can fix it. you will need to order an armature a speed control switch and a phase board for a 110 volt mixer. or you could order the same parts for 220 volt effectively making it a 220 volt mixer and change it back when you return state side. Your cost for parts will be around 150.00 USD plus shipping. The project will take about two hours to do. Let me know if you want to proceed, I can send you to a site with a tear down manual and the parts a readily available on the internet.

Could you post the link to the site with the tear down manual? Also my 110 volt KSM150PSER KitchenAid mixer was by mistake connected to 220 volt. I would be interested restoring the mixer to a 220 volt model. Which parts would I need to exchange?

Kitchenaid mixers are not recommended on the use of a converter as they are not tested under such conditions. Understanding this, using a convertor on your mixer may automatically void the 1 year warranty regardless of age.

There are international Kitchenaid dealers available if you are requiring 110V. You may contacted Kitchenaid Customer Service for more information.

Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

go to a technician and have the motor rewinded again. because your machine encountered a short circuit so the motor needs to have a new rewind. Hope the other parts are not affected.

You need a "step Down Transformer" Available on ebay for about $10-$11 see this link https://www.ebay.com/itm/1600W-WATT-220-TO-110-VOLT-TRAVEL-POWER-VOLTAGE-CONVERTER-TRANSFORMER-STEP-DOWN/261271470822?epid=2280961078&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item3cd4fe42e6:g:uyYAAOSwWV9bPnrq&enc=AQADAAAB8KX%2FKt4E1xf3SDqEdBclaYb3BEV2goiLGFm8pFHXtqqWxpi8UuZ%2B1UmMICagX0mPwzYtCPZLcL0E6Vaah6ZHw722DadNzkh3SM4MH25CRSPyDz9KvizBus75NMrUzhlRLp%2B4V42jC8hHgHYIYx%2B%2F4ycoFIijohPaTQWlPWqQoiUUUNXGfcFmCpcoSSrOtf3PVZcoJ9puUxTsrWPljut5U1XkLTUpfC8GRbje9eRdiyaqM1czASyOWZZgzA57iczV5z3vANeoEC%2BNacVC7bZrYUq5aG3%2F%2FawiBxNf8TwriwXCOw4nCe1FY2tLmRo1wBhjzLcjKTSoA9NXOgfP9yx2GAHB0aImAG6lwuD1Gjsbujapr0tOx303NO4%2FGDIjh23zBM2fFEjQ2lGE4u18hjWq90SC6CeIR6MRzjQmQFq0b%2BCQhZ966xg8sO6%2FP5M15emZQZPI4Wuwx6hC%2FWdQTFVmAkRx5XK1ZrG1qEUEGpPaD1FfdbI0tdiajTnoGtyj%2BYHYMLv7LJIQy8LPkNOtVsM4s4wNyFX29hZBcd90%2BBD9nVBT5XxRvvRld9N6uirS7H1399hftHO5SQD%2F44k8oA6tIY8fkYHruTeGLpXXjdFSuaWZZIJ0ehjAYwCMW6mHoymA2EJQOmGfV1RnrN%2BpaghdG54%3D&checksum=26127147082247fa4391f0f146d69550a6c6cdd31f82

Just bought kitchen aid prof 600 110v and i need a new transformer to 220v since my old one was busted using this appliance. What kind of transformer will i buy? Heavy duty ? Any spec? Thanks

You need one that can deliver not only the correct voltage but sufficient current to operate fully when under load. Check the current requirement on the sticker under the base, it will give operating voltage and watts. Purchase a transformer that matches the voltage and exceeds the watts by at least 30% so that the transformer is not operating at full capacity when under load. It will not matter if the transformer exceeds the watts by 100% or more but they do get bigger and heavier as the wattage goes up.

When traveling to countries with 220 voltage, is there any danger of overheating, or should I use a voltage converter?

You simply can't use any 110V device at 220V, be it a cellphone converter or a food mixer.. Some artifacts have a switch to be used at 110/220 and those, once changed to 220V, can be used.

325watts of 110v transform to 220v is how much watts

New armature, new field assembly and new phase board will probably be a similar price to a step up transformer and a far better solution.

What is the voltage required to run rival hand mixer?

This plugs into a standard 120v household outlet, it's only 150 watts, running 10 of these is like one hair dryer. Most products say 110v, 115v in the USA.

The actual voltage is around 120v at the breaker panel and around 118v at the outlet.

But all products marked 110v, 115, 117, all work on a standard outlet.

Kitchen aid stand mixer bought in US, moving to Europe, 220v 50hz

I can not respond to the warranty issues. My kitchen aid mixer is past warranty as well. I live in a country that uses 220V and my kitchen aid mixer is 110V. I have been using my kitchen aid mixer for almost 4 years with no problems at all.

The converter boxes are supposed to blow the fuse on the converter before it reaches your appliance and cause any problems.

If you purchase a 220V kitchen aid (although it would cost more money) it would probably have more power because of the higher voltage.

Hope this helps!

Kitchenaid mixer professional motor

DO NOT DO IT. The Hz will destroy the morotr. The transofrmer only converts the voltage. You are better off buying a 220V version.
