SOURCE: my magnet cracked on my jbl sub woofer can it be

You might be able to get the manufacturer to replace it. Sub woofer repair is possible and some manufactures do offer that service, you'll have to check with them though. There is one other thing to consider- does it still work? If so you might be in luck. The magnet is there for its magnetic feild not how it looks. So if the magnetic field is un-affected and the voice coil is in one piece and un-obstructed it should be just fine. If the field is slighty out of place or not as strong it will probably affect its performance though. Good luck.

SOURCE: the fuse keeps burning out in my jbl sub 10, even

poor design, the amps that are screwed to the heat sink are below a transistor which is catching all the heat, heat rises and changes the bias of the transistor so high it causes runway in circuits that results into failure also the amplifiers are sealed with no air flow, this can't be good.Maybe if they put air vents or remove the cover to panel then the heat will have somewhere to go instead of just building up inside. If this problem is not fixed a replacement is going to fail too.good price bad design.

No Sound

This might very well be a fuse - check by setting the sub woofer to "On" to see if it powers up. If it does, there may be a problem with the sub woofer audio cable(s) or connection(s).

Don't forget to check for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse on the stereo's speaker output. If your sub is connected to a low level output - this shouldn't be a possible cause - as circuit breakers & fuses are usually on amplified (high level) or speaker outputs.

Another possibility is that the settings of the stereo has been changed from a *.1 system to plain stereo 2.0 or some other setting that disables the LFE (low frequency effects) or sub woofer audio output.
