I Am Trying To Hook My Behringer X2222USB To My DAW How?

Once connected to the computer you have to open your Daw and find the menu to activate the mixer via midi. Check the user manual of your Daw. Also you might have to do some midi mapping to set up the controls.

I need a reasonably priced audio interface to use with a remote synth and a MacBook (Garage Band). Any ideas?

I would go for getting someone else to record at studio, means they have all the professional ideas to bring to the table, solve problems, but if your just playing around in home a small focusrite 2/2 should do you, with 2 inputs for left and right mono from desk, or also dual linking in two separate channels via xlr.

Tascam 2488 neo mmc control

That seems to be in the midi time sync functions. In cakewalk under options find the midi settings and choose midi device. All of you clock and sync settings should be there. Also I think under the audio menu there are settings for folders and I think a tab for sync is there as well. I use Sonar, which is an upgrade of cakewalk but used cakewalk for a long time. I have it on another computer and will look later to see if I am forgetting something or remembered it wrong and let you know.

While using korg m50 editor using usb data cable there is no sound from my lap.the sound is only from my head phone connected to my keyboard directly?

Are you connecting to the laptop and using it as a midi controller? You can record midi notes from the keyboard and send them to your laptop via USB using any midi sequencer program (reason, logic, etc). Create a midi track, select the input of that track as your keyboard, then hit record to play some midi notes. To hear what you record, you have to set the output of the midi track to whatever midi sounds or instrunents you have installed on your laptop.

If you are trying to record the actual audio sound the keyboard makes, use an audio program such as cubase, sonar, audacity, pro-tools, and either mic the keyboard, or connect one of the other audio outputs (1/4" TRS) to an audio input on your DAW, and record an audio track that way (as opposed to a midi track).

I get random unwanted midi notes triggering while I plug my dd-55 into my emu x-midi 2x2 with my Reaper DAW. I don't know if this is a problem with the emu or the dd-55 itself, but it doesn't...

Check that you don't have MIDI echo on in the DAW. If the MIDI data is echoed, it MAY be merging with the outgoing and when MIDI signals are merged in pieces instead of whole messages the data is corrupted. If you can look at the data stream with software, you should be able to spot the problem. Another problem might be excessive latency of the recording software. Make sure you do not have antivirus or antispyware programs running or network running. The Roland will spill data at much less rate and while the dd55 may overrun the DAW the Roland might not be able to. The key to the problem is to analyze the MIDI data stream that is being recorded.

Keys not responding on my keyboard.

It needs to be plugged in to a computer with a DAW to produce sound. The DAW converts the information sent by the controller about which key is pressed and how hard and converts it into sound with a virtual instrument

GETTING MEDIA INVALID WHEN TRYING TO IMPORT, NO MATTER WHAT CD i PUT IN TASCAM 2488

I think if you had the manual you would know the answer.

Register and download the manual for free at audio.manualsonline.com

Search for "Tascam Portastudio 2488"

http://music.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/tascam/2488neo.html Page 118... Press NO/EXIT and check the digital audio source. The output should be 44.1 kHz (note that some players output 48 kHz). A unit with varispeed (pitch control) may have varispeed turned on, altering the sampling frequency from 44.1 kHz.

How do i make daw's program program change messages with a dx-21. or must i buy a keyboard controller.Im using Intel. Pen. 3 with 2.2 ghz win. xp v5.1.2600, e-mu dsp audio processor (wdm). software bundle...

ALWAYS to answer your question, refer to the "MIDI IMPLEMENTATION CHART" for your MIDI instrument.

This chart can be found USUALLY near the end of your user's manual.

This chart, among other things, will tell what can be transmitted and received by the MIDI device.

Refering to the chart for your DX21 it shows that the DX21 can both receive and transmit program changes.

If you don't have a user manual, download one here:

I'M TRYING TO BURN MUSIC FROM MY KORG TR76 TO THE 2488 AND WHEN THE RECORDING IS COMPLETE, ALL I GET IS THE 2488 DEMO. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

It depends on whether you are trying to record audio or midi Which are two different formats and have separate connections. I will have to download the manuals for the keyboard and the recorder and read through them but I will try and help you if you would like.
