Previous windows vista is configured in dell studio1535,after installing the win xp sp3 to my laptop,now the microphone is not working .recording control its showing disabled.we cannot able to enable it.kindly assist and suggest the drivers

WIN XP does not install any audio drivers in most of the advanced laptops. you need to download audio drivers from dell website.

I have dell Studio 1535 - and I confirm solution uploaded by juanmhr - now it works perfectly!
This is the right driver for Windows XP: ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R204591.exe

I am having a problem with the sound on mine as well. I've tried these steps but there are 2 x's in the first step. So, i don't know what to click on. Could someone please e-mail me back at [email protected] with an answer?

When you say that you are unable to play , do you mean its not loading ? unable to install it? do you get a specific error message when you try to launch it ?

Hi!

Well, win xp is absolutly more fun as OS then win 2000:)
To upgrade to win xp will be no problem since Toshiba have drivers for ir. To upgrade to VISTA will...or can give you problem since there arent any drivers for that Tecra S1.

If u deside to upgrade to win xp, here is all the drivers u gona need to do it:

You can download all the drivers you need for Lenovo 3000 Y410 Laptop from the below link
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68104.html#audio

Just scroll down the page for Audio drivers for both win XP and Vista,click on the blue version number to download the one you want.

Note : Incase you have win XP,some people has issues installing the xp driver with sp3 installed,the driver seems to work with only sp1 and sp2.So if u have SP3 and unable to install xp driver, do one of the following.
1) Uninstall SP3 and install SP2 and then try installing the driver for XP
2) Download Vista driver and install it with windows compatibility mode set to XP SP2.

Skip my reply above; didn't work. The BSOD is very erratic, so its hard to be sure. Try DLing the latest Realtek HD Audio drivers

Run the windows update again to win sp3.

Sp3 has most of the drivers in the dowload.IF not you should be able to install utilities after you get win xp sp3

I have a Dell Studio 1737. I have install IDT 92HD73C1 v6.10 2009-02-17, Dell packed R204591.exe.
In the Control panel Sound, tab Voice, Mic device click button "Volumen" (spanish version) and select Internal Mic insted of Mic.

please check out in my computer systems device manager if anything in the sound section is in red or yellow remove it. unless win xp was made for your laptop the drivers are not there. you need to go to compaq web site and download your drivers.

sorry u can't download windows XP u should purchase it and remove vista and install windows XP after installing u should download drivers for the dell laptop Inspiron 1525 of windows XP because vista is pre installed operating system including with drivers
