Replace air filter on Craftsman 3000 garden tractor

Actually, this is a Craftsman 23 HP 50" electric start 6 speed garden tractor, but that wasn't one of your product options. How does the baffle, spitback cup (Part # 24-063-51-S) fit onto the air intake/filtration system? When I took the old air filter off, an orange short tube (seal, breather Part # 231032-S ??) and this baffle were lying in the base. Now that I've got the new air filter and pre-filter, I'm trying to put it all back together on the base...but I do not know where to place either the orange short tube or this baffle, or how to hold it there while I'm trying to fit the air filter set on. The screw that sleeves through the cover for the inner air cleaner and then into the base is attached to the exterior cover of the air cleaner, and lining everything up is proving more than my two small hands can do...especially since I'm not quite sure where that baffle and orange tube are supposed to go. Can you help me?

The "baffle" that looks like half of a funnel goes on the stud with the open end up, the orange rubber hose goes on the stud to hold the baffle in place, the air filter then goes on and is supposed to be held on with a wing nut, then the outer air filter cover goes on

Brand new Craftsman 19.5 HP Riding Mower Sputtering(Manual Trans)

The hose you reconnected was probably for the air to the air filter. Check to see if while the hose was disconnected it pulled grass or dust into the air filter. Check the air filter, try running the mower without the filter. If it runs then replace or blow out the air filter. Hope this helps.
