Please advise how to make my aux on my kdc135 work
Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.
People keep saying "press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option " as do the instructions but when I 2cycle through" there is no AUX 1 option!!! That's the problem.
Do we need to keep stereo in aux mode for hands free calling ... In that case tuner is useless in car stereo....or there is some sort of setting for auto change whenever call comes...
Try the up and down with the menu knob that's were the instruction were lacking
Who would have thought. i have a KDC-MP336 it werent working... but ur solution helped. cheers boss.
On my mp728 I had to choose the radio or cd source and then hold the volume button for a minute. The I scrolled through and turned "2 zone" on. Once I did this I was able to turn aux on in the main menu.
Perfect fix! My own fault for losing the manual in the first place!
Solved thanks
Enter menu and choose AUX to be ON.

I have the kenwood kdc 237..i've checked all of the menu options and it doesn't seem to have a choice to activate the "aux" function.... I keep trying to connect my mp3 player via the front connector, but it isn't recognised. What am I doing wrong ?..sadly I've misplaced the instruction manual
I have a kdc-135. I put it in stby and push the menu button. All I get is a beep on or off. This has worked in the past and was very simple. What has happened?
