Norstar M7310- buttons don't produce tone anymore

We think the power went out, and now both of our office Norstar M7310 phones don't produce a tone (or the correct tone?) on an active call anymore.

This is a problem because to call our voice mail or any "press this number" system we can dial in the number- but the other system doesn't recognize the tone. It is definitely our phones and not the systems.

Please help!

Have you tried un plugging then plugging them back in to reset them, if not you may have to power cycle the main system.

Its the problem from the system.

Go to the programming of Norstar by Feature **266344 and the password is 266344.
Go to line datd or line and make dialling made as Tone.

All buttons dial the same line.

Check to see if the one touch button for the cash office is stuck down, sometimes the corner will stick but is hard to notice its down.

Meridian Norstar M7310 -- Phone's buttons seem disabled.

Sounds like a stuck button!

Look for the button that is depressed... or the button that has that person that the set is always calling and remove that button with a key/ small knife/ screwdriver or something.

When you take this button off the set, I bet that your set will start working again.

Clean that button, maybe there is something spilled on it.

Good Luck.

Norstar m7310 phone

Rushy: I assume you have a KSU which controls the entire system. The KSU is cabled to each line number provided by your local phone company. Once you have this line established it now makes contact with your phone set via dedicated cabling to each telephone set.. With all this hardware in place you can now program the line keys on each set for either one touch dialing or line access for your dial tone. Program guides can be aquired through GOOGLE by entering " Norstar m7310 program guide".Thank You. Jerry
