Lenovo ideapad z565 special keys (located at the top right of the keyboard) constantly turn on/off on their own. Is there a way to turn these off and just adjust them manually?

For you to perform One Key Recovery, it is done by pressing the OKR button next to power button when the computer is off..(OKR or One key recovery is a very small button usually next/ near the power button that has an inverted U-shaped arrow and usually, some models, the color is orange button)..Select "One key recovery" from the options and next, select "Restore from Initial Back up" after that, you may select "start" to perform OKR.. Just in case OKR button is no longer working, you may ask for the recovery CD's from lenovo to manually install windows.
Hi fritzc,
I see you want to reformat your Lenovo back to factory Defaults I believe.
To do so follow the instructions Below.
Turn your Lenovo OFF
Once powered Down look for the orrange Arrow beside the power button that will probably have a Pinhole Button beside it.
Once located you will need to press that Pinhole Button Down for mat least 5 seconds this will turn the Lenovo system ON.
You Should see Lenovo One Kwey Rescue System and a green Wallpaper made out of Leaves or Grass.
Select One key Recovery if not with the mouse use the keyboard Arrow keys.
Then after selecting one key recovery select restore from Initial Backup then press Enter
after selecting restore from Initial Backup you should get info about the restoration asking if you agree to the restoration setting everything to Default and that files will be deleted if so then click yes to begin the Restoration.
One key recovery takes at least 20 mins to 25 mins depending on the Hard drive Content and Hard Drive space that will be formatted back to defaults.
If One key CRecovery Fails then most Likely you will need to call Lenovo to be able to get the Recovery Disc sent you this will be Free since your OKR or One Key recovery isn't working but if it Does the disc will be sent in a different way, for the Disc to be Ordered the number to call is 1-877 737 1092 Operating Hours are Mon- Fri EST 10AM-11PM.
I hope this will be helpful.
Have a nice day

It sounds like it is very busy and slow. You may want to buy more memory. It could also be too many programs running at same time. To find out do ctrl, alt delete and look at processes in task manager.
