Here is a place that has an exploded view of your icemaker, and mounting: http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php
On the left side of the page, scroll that view down until you see the freezer door parts, and click on the words. This will bring up the proper view where you can see where the screws etc are that hold the unit in.

They, as well as the several other places I checked, show the auger motor as a sealed unit, that you get to by removing the icemaker from the door.

Whirlpool side by side ice storage bin will not go back into place due to the auger

I had this exact same problem. After a difficult removal of the ice bucket (admittedly a lot of yanking against frozen ice cubes before I decided to chisel them out from above), I could no longer seat the ice bucket back onto the hexagonal auger drive shaft. When activating the ice dispenser, I could hear the motor turning, but the auger shaft itself would not rotate. The cause was that the auger shaft had moved upward through its stop grommet during all of the yanking to remove the ice bucket.

Take off the two hex screws holding the top plate around the auger shaft. The shaft is then easily removable and you can inspect it for slippage against the stop grommet. In the attached photo, you can see there is about 1/2 inch of clean auger shaft visible above the grommet, where the shaft has slid upward relative to the grommet. If this is the case, the fix is simple. Turn the shaft upside down and lightly tap the grommet around the edges with a small hammer until it moves back into place. Upon replacing the auger shaft, you can feel it seat back into the drive motor adapter.

Icemaker will not dispense ice. the bin is full. when you push the button the micro-switch clicks and the flap opens, but the motor don't turn. is it the motor or the pc board

You are correct. Motor or Board. See if you can turn auger motor by hand It is geared and should be hard to turn but not locked up. You can also remove auger motor assembly. Plug it into 110v it will run, (replace board) or not. (replace auger motor).

Hi, I think you need a new icemaker. What you described seems like water is getting in ice bin with the auger. Either to much water to icemaker and it overflows or if your talking about the rotating strip fingers for the icemaker is missing then yes that is the problem. If ice don't come out of tray and it still cycle it pour water on top of ice and into bin with the auger.

Ice maker will not dispense the ice

The auger motor and coupling in the rear may be frozen and won't turn.
Remove the ice bin.
Place a screwdriver or similar device in the forks of the auger and twist counterclockwise till it moves. The replace the ice bin and try again.
It will be difficult to move.
If that does not work. Turn off the fridge and use a hair dryer to hrat the auger gear and motor till it frees up.

Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator Wont dispense ice

if you lift out the ice bucket you will see the "gear" that turns the auger. The gear is metal but the part on the bucket is plastic and this can become stripped out. Also check that there is not ice frozen around the bottom of the bucket where an ice cube may have lodged the chute door partially open and melted some of the ice in the bottom creating a blockage.

FRIGIDAIRE SIDE BY SIDE ICE DISPENSER

Have same or similar problem. MY problem turns out to be that the Auger turns fine, but there is a little metal blade that attaches to the end of the auger and transfers the spin action into this auger "hopper" (for lack of a better term) which actually accepts the ice that has been moved from the back of the ice bucket by the metal auger and then dispenses the ice into the hopper which falls into the glass. the issue is one of crappy design. It turns out that this little blade has a rectangular opening in the middle that the rectangular end of the auger fits into. If this rectangle opening gets stripped (as mine has done, and ALL are likely to do) then the auger spins, the ice is moved forward but none are picked up by the hopper, and none (or very few) fall into the glass.
Everyone should check to see if this is the case. If so you may need to order a new blade, or a new auger, or a new refrigerator.

Good Luck!
