We have an old Russell Hobbs coffee maker, model no. 3317/1. Over the years, the small rubber gasket or plug that stops liquid from flowing from the coffee holder to the carafe when the latter is removed has disintegrated, making the machine basically unusable.
It is an old machine, but quite practical and simple to use, and though we've bought something else, I feel it a shame just to toss it because of this one little piece. I may try to improvise something, but first want to know if there is some place I might be able to find such parts. The on/off indicator light has also stopped working, but otherwise the machine is fine. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi there, between the two of us, we have one complete working model. Have you still got the glass jug. My last camping trip was on a sloopy site, and my caravan was at an angle and I had not stowed the glass jug, resulting in the inevitable smashing of the jug. Either you can have my machine, or can I have your glass jug. Im happy to pay postage to you for you to send me your glass jug.
Yes its a great bit of kit, and still makes great coffee.
Like you we have another machine at home, and so this one is on the caravan, for holiday weekends, it would be great to get your jug and make you feel good that one whole machine is out there and still delievering great coffee
thanks
