Small rubber gasket/plug needed for Russell Hobbs coffee maker

We have an old Russell Hobbs coffee maker, model no. 3317/1. Over the years, the small rubber gasket or plug that stops liquid from flowing from the coffee holder to the carafe when the latter is removed has disintegrated, making the machine basically unusable.

It is an old machine, but quite practical and simple to use, and though we've bought something else, I feel it a shame just to toss it because of this one little piece. I may try to improvise something, but first want to know if there is some place I might be able to find such parts. The on/off indicator light has also stopped working, but otherwise the machine is fine. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi there, between the two of us, we have one complete working model. Have you still got the glass jug. My last camping trip was on a sloopy site, and my caravan was at an angle and I had not stowed the glass jug, resulting in the inevitable smashing of the jug. Either you can have my machine, or can I have your glass jug. Im happy to pay postage to you for you to send me your glass jug.
Yes its a great bit of kit, and still makes great coffee.

Like you we have another machine at home, and so this one is on the caravan, for holiday weekends, it would be great to get your jug and make you feel good that one whole machine is out there and still delievering great coffee

thanks

I have a Russell Hobbs filter coffee maker which has suddenly stopped working but is displaying code E02. Any ideas please?

The E02 error code on a Russell Hobbs 24320 coffee maker typically indicates an issue with the heating element or temperature sensor. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Make sure the coffee maker is properly plugged in and turned on.
  2. Check the water reservoir and ensure it is filled to the correct level.
  3. Clean the machine thoroughly, including the water tank, filter basket, and carafe.
  4. Check the heating element and temperature sensor for any signs of damage or corrosion. If you notice any issues, you may need to replace these parts.
  5. Try resetting the coffee maker by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
If none of these steps work, you may need to contact Russell Hobbs customer service for further assistance or to arrange for repairs.

Russell Hobbs coffee grinder Model 9702: disassemble

  1. Unplug the coffee grinder from the power source and ensure that it is completely cool.
  2. Look for the screw or bolt that is recessed into the base of the coffee grinder. It may be covered by a rubber pad or sticker. Remove the pad or sticker to expose the screw.
  3. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw or bolt from the base of the coffee grinder. Make sure to keep the screw in a safe place so that you do not lose it.
  4. Gently lift the top of the coffee grinder off the base. You may need to use a bit of force to separate the two parts, but be careful not to damage any of the internal components.
  5. Once the top is removed, you should be able to access the internal components of the coffee grinder. If you need to remove any other parts, such as the blades, consult the user manual for instructions.
As for the type of screw used in the base, it is likely to be a small machine screw or bolt. You may need to use a small screwdriver or hex key to remove it. If you are unsure what type of screw to use, you can take the screw to a hardware store and ask for assistance in finding a replacement.

Russell hobbs coffee maker model 14899 problem water not filtering through alot of steam coming out of machine and also wet under appliance.Have run water through without coffee in but is still a...

There is a non return valve in the base. Mine was held open by a small bit of coffee bean, it is a full strip down with security screw drivers available to buy or grind up on a DIY grinding machine, not complicated but designed deliberately to put the non DIY'ers off & buy a new one

We too have a CP1, we need to find parts for a full restoration, after 50 years of service (it too was a wedding present to my parents in 1967) mum left it on, it boiled dry. I've messaged Russell Hobbs, but in case they can't help, anyone know a vintage parts source?
