You Have not Mention What Wireless Router are you using, To set Dynamic IP you need to Enter inside the router Configuration Page. Your Router most have one Default IP address, user name and the password, by using any web browser and typing the default IP of the router on Address bar of web browser you can enter to its configuration page.
One You get in to Configuration Page you'll find Wireless setting, there you can Change it to Dynamic IP.

If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem then - To connect to your wireless router, the router needsits wireless settings to be configured with the SSID, encryption key etc., alsothe wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. you need to know the routers ip address or have the software. For most things the ip address will be 192.168.1.1 . You simply type that in your web browser and a page will come up.

you may need to go to the linksys site to find the default ip address of your router. But I would try "192.168.1.1" first.

By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.1.254
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default both the username and password are admin.

router do not normally need installation software..

you can access their admin software by putting in the ip address into your browser...

if you are running xp go to start > run and type in "cmd"..

when you get the black DOS screen, type in "ipconfig" and look at the results for the ip address of your "Default Gateway"..

go back and type this into your web browser to access the router...

for linksys the default password is admin, leave the username blank

• passwords - open a browser, the MSI RG54G2 web interface is 192.168.1.254, password is "admin", less the quotes;
• iPod touch - will auto detect your MSI
  
• setting on my router - if allows your computer(s) to access the Internet, no further settings required;
  
• iPod can connect to the internet - if no WEP or WPA is set on the MSI router.

This is of course assuming that the MSI RG54G2 is allowing your computers to access the Internet lready and will be shared to the iPod Touch.

In reality you do not need to install the software anyway. You can use the default IP address to configure the router as long as you are able to pick up the wireless signal or as long as you are hard wired to the router.
Click start ->run type cmd hit enter, In the DOS box (black box) that opens type ipconfig, hit enter. Look for the line that says default gateway..you should see and ip address of 192.168.xxx.xxx. That is the default address of your wireless router. Enter that into your web browser (IE, Firefox, etc.) This will allow you to access your wireless routers settings.
You will probably need the user name and password. This should be listed in your manual.
