The only safe way to do this us to connect the sub to one of the other speaker outputs using a "speaker selector" switch. For example, you would go out of the receivers left speaker output, into the selector switch then out of the selector switch into the sub and the left speaker. There really is no other way.
hi,
check one more time. your player DAV HD 275 have component video output. three sockets near the yellow, red, white sockets. Named Y, PB/CB, PR/CR.
remember on thing when you connect the component video, be sure to connect the red to red, green to green and blue to blue. if not you will not get the correct video. will become out of sync or black&white
ok
A tape loop connection would allow you to bypass it completely, otherwise not much difference.
Attach it in any tape loop as you would any other processor or tape deck. Or get a dbx 400 Program Route Selector that supports 3 tape decks and 3 processor loops and allows selection and utilization of any or all before or after the tapes, while using only one tape loop on the receiver or preamp.
I have a C-9, a 400 and some other audio toys to justify having the 400.
Hi, You need to turn On Progressive Scan mode in home theater system to get video output in component video out ports so tv can show its picture. Progressive Scan mode can be turned On by going into setup menu of home theater, details are available in user manual. Thanks.
Hi, First try with yellow video output of DAV-S500 in yellow video TV input to get its picture. (yellow output means composite video out) Green-Blue-Red video output is component output that will be turn on when you switch the unit into Progressive picture mode, that option would be available in Menu of DAV-S500 Hope this info will help you. Thanks.
yes u can connect an externel dvd player to your sony dav s 500...
you have
composite video input X 1 and
analog input X 1.
so you can connect the RC output pins of externel dvd player to the input of composite video and analog left and right audio inputs to the SONY DAV S500.
SORRY, YOU CAN'T CONNECT AN EXTERNEL DVD PLAYER TO WATCH THE MOVIES.. BUT YOU CAN ENJOY THE AUDIO WITH OTHER PLAYER...
SONY DAV SR2 DOESNOT HAVE THE VIDEO INPUT... SO U CANT CONNECT VIDEO.. BUT U CAN CONNECT AUDIO INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCE THROUGH RC LEFT AND RIGHT PINS.. (ANALOG)
It won't work as the DAv can only output to HDMI by bringing singal into the HDMI input.
why wouldn't you send it directly to the TV and Audio to the DAV? I sounds like you don't have an HD box anyway (otherwise why would you use an analogue S-video cable vs component or HDMI). Unless there is a distance issue then go to the TV.
