Replace spring for pull cord on husqvarna 65021 RS lawn mower

if the spring is still in its compartment and the cord just hangs off some and it used to recoil all the way, the coil , spring , and rope are gathering dirt, the spring wants to be dry or have some graphite on it and the string needs to be clean, .
take off the housing that holds the pull rope, clean around it on the inside, pull it a few times to let out the dust .it wont come off. on the inside you can wrap the rope another time around the pulley, if you really need to. try to clean it first. Don't take apart if you don't have to , it will spring out and its 6 feet long!!!! not easy to get back in.

Disc Stuck In 60G Console

  • Press the "Eject" button on the PlayStation 3 console and hold it for at least 10 seconds; if your PS3 has the "force eject" feature included it will eject the disc regardless of whether the console is frozen or not. Turn off the console and turn it back on before inserting new discs.

  • Unplug the power cord and any other cords from the PS3 console if the "force eject" feature does not work and you own a PS3 Slim. Turn the console upside down so that you have access to the bottom of the console.

  • Locate the small compartment door on the bottom of the console. Remove the door by pulling it up and off the console; a blue screw and a small hole should be visible inside the compartment.

  • Insert a Phillips-head screwdriver into the hole. Turn the screwdriver in a counterclockwise direction to manually eject the disc. Once the disc is removed, replace the compartment door and turn the PS3 console back to its correct position before reconnecting the power cable and any other cables you previously removed.

How do I take about my Dyson DC11 to replace the retractable power cord assembly

While it doesn't require a collection bag, a Dyson-brand vacuum cleaner can still suffer the problems of wear and tear that are prone to any vacuum cleaner--for example, a frayed power cord. If the power cord of your Dyson vacuum cleaner has become frayed, change it immediately to avoid a dangerous electrical mishap. You will need a replacement cord from an electronics service center, along with a few common household tools. You do not need electrical skills to complete the task.
Follow this steps on how to replaced the power cord assembly:

1 Unplug the Dyson vacuum cleaner's power plug from the wall outlet. Press the button on the top front of the plastic collection cover. Lift the cover off the front of the vacuum cleaner and place it aside.

  • 2 Trace the power cord to where it enters the back bottom of the vacuum cleaner. Remove the screws from the panel surrounding the power cord with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the panel. Aim the beam of a flashlight inside the compartment so that you can see where the wires at the end of the power cord wrap around two screws on the motor assembly. Loosen these screws with a Phillips jeweler's screwdriver.

  • 3 Pull the power cord out of the compartment and dispose of it properly. Strip a 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of the two wires of the replacement power cord. Run the wires into the compartment along the path of the original power cord--pushing the wires into the grooves inside the compartment.

  • 4 Tie a knot on the cord on the inside of the compartment to prevent the cord from being pulled out.

  • 5 Wrap the exposed end of each wire of the power cord around the loosened screws. Tighten the screws. Replace the panel and reattach the screws. Stand the vacuum cleaner right side up. Place the bottom of the plastic collection cover into the bottom front slot on the vacuum cleaner. Push the cover back on the front of the vacuum cleaner.

I am wanting to know how to remove the power cord wheel assembly. I ordered an entire new assembly and I am trying to replace it.

    HI smarger,

First, remove the hood and tool compartment covers. At each corner of the cover, by the cord retract button, is a screw. Remove these two screws. Pull the button off. It is difficult to remove but just keep pulling until it's out.
Under the button there are 2 more screws. Remove these and you can take off the cover to expose the cord reel.
There are 2 screws on the back of the bracket that hold the reel onto the bracket.
    Good luck.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

How do you change the power cord on the Hoover u5475-900 Wind Tunnel 6200? Thanks for your help.

This procedure worked for replacing the cord on my Hoover U6425-900. At a minimum, you will need a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, wire cutter, and two electrical wire nuts and electrical tape. Remove the accessory tools from the storage compartment. Remove two screws, these are recessed. Remove the cover from the bag compartment, remove two screws located at top corners of bag compartment. You may have to open the side filter door but the accessory tool storage compartment should be free at this point and can be removed. You should see the power cord and related wiring. If you have a digital camera you could take a photo at this point in case you need a point of reference. Make note of the power cord strain relief routing and length of wire. Too much wire will make reattaching the storage compartment difficult and the routing prevents the cord from being pulled out.
On my model the wiring colors were purple, orange and white. My replacement cord had black and white wires. The orange wire will not be involved in cord replacement. Using the wire cutters clip the purple wire about three inches back from the existing terminal. If present, clip the two nylon wire ties and discard. The white wire will have a crimped on wire connector. Clip the white wire about three inches back from the existing wire connector. The old power cord can be removed by pulling it out from the rear, it should just slide out of the rubber insulating boot. If not use a set of pliers and crimp the boot from the wiring side and push it outside the vacuum housing. If you have to do this make sure you slip the boot over the replacement cord before you insert the new cord back into the vacuum housing. Remove about a half inch of insulation from the purple and white wires and from your replacement cord unless it was supplied with insulation already removed. Use new wire nuts and connect the white wires. Use the other wire nut and connect the purple wire to the remaining new power cord wire. Use some electrical tape and wrap the nuts to the wires a couple of times so they won't loosen. Make sure you route the power cord around the posts as this is the strain relief and prevents the cord from being pulled out. Reassemble and test.

How to change a newhard drive to HP G50-112NR laptop and let it work.

Shutdown the computer completely, disconnect all the devices connected to the laptop, remove the power cord, flip the computer over, take out the battery, look right at the center, you will find a compartment with two screws, that your memory compartment, just above that, you would find a long rectangular compartment, which will have icon of three cds lying one on another, thats the hard drive compartment, open it and take out the hard drive, you would find a black or white colored strip coming out of the hard drive base of the compartment, pull that gently upward, that will pop-out/ pull out the hard drive, replace the hard drive and close the compartment, and your hard drive is ready to work, reconnect every thing and restart the laptop, the computer would work perfectly fine as per your expectation.

    Green projection lamp not working

    1. you will need a manual screwdriver to remove the panel. You need a soft non-abrasive cloth to avoid any contact with your fingers and the lamp assembly.
    2. Turn off the Projector. After the unit has cooled down properly, remove the power cord from the outlet..
    3. Remove Lamp Compartment Door. The lamp compartment on projectors islocated underneath the projector unit. For Rear Projection TVs, the lamp compartment is located in the rear bottom left or right side of the TV.. Remove the screws and the lamp compartment door.
    4. Remove Lamp Assembly. pull out the lamp assembly disconnect any power cords that is still connected to the lamp assembly. Put it aside and don't get it confused with your new lamp!
    5. Clean Lamp Compartment. Dust gets everywhere and while you have the projector open, use a soft cloth to remove any loose dust from the lamp compartment.
    6. Insert New Lamp Assembly. reconnect any power cables to the new lamp if present and slide the new lamp into the compartment in the same orientation that the original lamp came out.
    7. Replace Lamp Compartment Door. Set the lamp compartment door back into place and securely screw in the door without screwing it in too tight
