I have one of the Dell bastardized Intel E210882 motherboards. I know thats not the actual model number and the "E210882" designation was used on a lot of modified Intel boards. Only problem is I can't find any pinout configuration for the front USB that actualy works. Tried a few with 3 common results: nothing happens, unrecognized device message, or computer locks up. Any ideas? The origonal plug looks like it uses all 9 of the pins provided. My case only has 8 individual wires. Is it propritary to Dell? Do I have to modify something?
i have the same problem can any1 help me please , i recently changed my atx case and the front usb pins are not the same so if any1 has a diagram greatly would be apreciated thank you in advanced... i have the same problem can any1 help me please , i recently changed my atx case and the front usb pins are not the same so if any1 has a diagram greatly would be apreciated thank you in advanced...

If this is in a Dell system you may want to try going through Dell. Dell uses primarily Intel boards with Intel components. You can try letting Intel scan your system and make recommendations here; http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ Click on the "Run Intel Driver Update Utitlity" for recommendations on Intel components. If this board is in a Dell unit and is stock you can go to Dell for their suggested updates here; http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs You can either enter model number or, if you have a service tag number, which should be on a label on the case of your tower, you can get updates there and Dell can scan your system also.
If this is your board Intel D102GGC2 ,then the manual is here: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15112/eng/D102GGC2_TechProdSpec.pdf on page 50 there is a diagram.
Please rate answer if worked if not then let us know. Thanks
Can i have the Board model? i don't think that intel e210882 is a model number.
"There are several numbers (such as E210882, D33025, N232,
ICES-003 and 2LI) printed directly on Intel desktop boards that are not
indicative of board model. These numbers represent regulatory or
industry specification codes and cannot be used to identify your board."
Here's the intel site that can help you identify your board model: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-009009.htm
The E210882 number is a certification mark for some Intel motherboards. But that is not the number of the board. Try to find a number that begins with and "E" or a "D" then three numbers and then 3 or 4 more letters and numbers combined.
The User Manual for this m/board (E210882) can be found at :- ftp://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865glc/BFLC_English.pdf you will need adobe free reader to view it. refer to pages 40 thru 46 for the front panel header and isb info.
E210882 is a number found on more than one Dell System Board. Dimension 8400 and 4600 come to mind. Possibly there are more. Secondly, E210882 is not a Dell Part number (DP/N or DS/N). While Dimension 8400 is a 775 socket, Dimension 4600 is a 478 socket. So they don't fall to the same family.
In any case the network controllers used on Dell System Boards are Intel and Broadcom.
To proceed, at least provide/confirm the system model. If this is not available, give the Dell Part Number.
