Right click in your drive select new folder
Place all data files you want to password protect inside your new folder
Right click on your new folder select properties select the sharing tab
Scroll to network and sharing at the bottom
You have many options to password protect many files and folders Windows 7
In XP right click on your folder select properties then click the sharing tab tick the box do you want to make this folder private
A message might appear if you have a password do you want to create a password

When you boot up to the log in
screen type in administrator as user if you cant log in

press and hold that key to enter set up BIOS scroll to set user password or
supervisor password you can change or remove the password from there if you are

features press enter change your first boot device to cd press escape then
