First, I'm not a Samsung tech.
* I get problems downloading new apps or unable to get updates.
* Found that the tablet (or phone) memory gets filled and slows down every thing. It won't self clear memory even when you ask it to.
* Go to settings, Apps, then check the memory cache and clear them.
* This also means your internal memory is packed. (or too small). Clear or upgrade memory for more space. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-178690/
* you may need to do a "Hard Reset" to clear all the unwanted junk off the device. Check your settings for a "factory reset" option. Sometimes called a "factory restore"
* Be sure to back up your device before the reset. Or transfer the data to the "cloud drive" , SD card.
* Reload the current operating system (Android or similar).
* Only reload the apps you really need. Leave the rest of the junk in the "Cloud" This way you still have usable memory.

* Hard reset and bypass Google; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDSrChQxQ_o
* Factory reset (Hard incl.); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TILb8CpvAYk
* Still have problems? Check your warranty. Call for service.

Sounds like a corrupted kernel. The only thing you can do is download adb tools and then download the original Coby files for android. without having to do alot of research(if you dont know how to, you will have to research) you can go to Androidcentral.com go to the coby section, in the forum. There you should be able to find the step by step method. Sorry but this would be about the best help I can give you with out actually doing it myself.
You need to do a hard reset,, read the owners manual for that step, as far as it telling you it would go faster if you had a USB 2.0. , that means your computer is way out of date
OK THIS WORKS 100% 1.Use a pin in the rear reset hole whilst holding the power button for A-HK8 Aldi Tablets, hold until the screen flashes white once, Then turn on Power as normal....it will appear to be stuck on the ANDROID logo but it isn't.... 2.wait with the android logo showing on the screen for 3 minutes, don't touch anything, just let it be for 3 minutes.... 3.the upgrade or optimize app menu screen will come on, let it finish the upgrade usually 1 or 21 ..(let it do it if this comes up don't touch anything) ...if no upgrade is required, it will go straight into the screen ready mode with the clock..... 4.navigate into settings, and select backup and reset......(at this point if you have a SD card i would backup your apps and google account to it) otherwise hit erase everything.....and factory reset the tabletTechnicians notes: I must also say that the dual core in these HK8's get very overloaded and overheat when playing it, as there is no gills or vents on the back cover, this is a manufacture fault by Bauhn, and they have since stopped making these, it's a shame as it will only last a short while maybe 3 months or more until you need to do a hard reset all over again, as the tablet overheats mid use and causes a corrupt shutdown and when turned on again will need another dammed hard reset.....they constantly need hard resets... if you haven't the heart to throw it in the garbage and say goodbye to your $200 then ...this is what you will have to prepare for if you continue to own it.. one good thing though, is anything you backed up like apps, google play accounts, and photos can easily be used on a new tablet say like a "samsung" if you keep getting the crash error saying " Apparently such and such stopped working" means the Core duo chip is overheating at this stage, feel the back cover its unaturally hot and your battery juice is being sucked dry. means pretty much your core duo is fried and anything you touch will stopp working, it can't run when that hot....like i said earlier this is a common fault with the AT-HK8 Tablets from ALDi...and why Bauhn quickly stopped manufacturing them and offering support any longer....believe me after hard resetting it a few times every few months, you will want to take a hammer to it or frisbee it against a wall. up to you.
Have you tried the hard reset? Try these instructions for a hard reset:
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the Samsung logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.
The Galaxy Tab should then go through the hard reset process.
The CPU can't be upgraded as its a Pentium M 753 Ultra Low Voltage/ULV CPU.
Which is soldered directly to the motherboard. And the max ram is 2gb which you have. You can try a faster hard drive if currently you have a 5400rpm buy a 7200rpm drive, but this always brings more heat, and heat means lower battery life/time.
