sounds like the thermal safety overload is cutting the power due to overheating hence why it just turns back on after a certain time, when the safety overload reaches a certain temperature it will cut the power to the machine or in some cases just the heating elements, once it cools down it resets and power is restored and by using the warm setting it obviously isn't as hot so its not overheating, its highly likely it is all blocked up internally with lint (i know it says self cleaning but they never work for more than a few years before requiring a proper clean and service)

If the heater element had infinite resistance, it would be defective. Possibly a defective thermostat.

I could be a bad plug or a frade power cord. Whith the grinder unplugged make sure the grinding wheel turns by hand. If it does it could be a bad on off switch or the brushes in the motor could be worn.

I know that on some models you can adjust the pilots. Also you might try changing out your control valve. Good Luck

Does it happen to any other fixture? If not, it's most likely your shower valve and not heater.

I have this model and am having the same problem. Bosch don't want to know as it is out of warranty.
This means that a perfectly good freezer has to be thrown away because the fridge won't work properly.
Don't buy Bosch.
