Denon AVR-1707 Receiver - remote stopped working

My remote was working fine for approx. 1 year then it stopped. It will no longer turn the system on and off but other functions will work. I was given another remote from BEST Buy and it will not work at all. I literally have to walk to the receiver and change the functions on the face of the receiver. Why won't the new Denon Remote work with the Denon Receiver? How can I get a remote to work with my receiver again? What is the problem?

I have the same problem. The remote doesn't turn on or off the receiver. I've had the reciver for less than 2 months. Does anyone have a reason?

AVR-788 bought 3 weeks ago. Last night remote worked fine, today nothing. I have two remotes and neither works. Actually if I get within one inch of remote sensor on receiver then it works. Yes, fresh batteries, just flaky receiver I would bet.

Please apply a new fresh battery to it-confirm from right orientation(polarity)-try to apply a contact cleaner spray over the bad button and press it many times.-remove any thing between remote and receiver.-you can use universal remote and confirm befor you buy the new remote that it support your receiver.

I have a Denon AVR 1707 reciever. I am trying to connect my dvd player through RGB cables. The sound works just fine when i turn the reciever to dvd but there is no video. I have the component 2 set to dvd...

The video cables--the green, blue, and red ones must be connected from the video OUT portion of the DVD player to the Component 2 video IN of the Denon. It could be the handshake between your Denon and your television. Do you have anything else to connect to the Denon to see if you get a picture? How are you connecting the Denon to the television? Make sure you have your television on the proper input and check the cables going between it and the Denon.

I have a Denon AVR-1707 with a center, 2 front speakers, and surround sound back speakers. When set to FM radio, all speakers work. When set to TV, only one side speaker works. Any ideas? It worked fine...

Follow the sound back to its source. FM is internal so it can't possibly have a cabling issue.

I imagine your TV sound ultimately originates from a cable box which has a nice juicy digital output that the Denon could use. Why route audio through a TV, like the manuals tell you, when you can get it straight to the best audio device without a detour to a TV and its dubious audio electronics?

Trying to hook my lg tv to a denon avr-1707 receiver so i can have external speakers

Use the twin phono audio out on tv to twin phono audio in on Denon AVR-1707 this should work absolutely fine as long as your using an analogue input on the tv if HDMI you would need to purchase a Digitial to analogue audio converter. Hope this helps

My denon AVR 1707 has flashing red light have disconected all speakers and it still flashes red is there anything else i can do.

Only what you can do is to bring the receiver into repair shop. The receiver has a hardware problem.

Where do i plug in the yellow, red and white cables on the Denon avr 1707 for connection to wii

the yellow goes to the tv then you can have your audio run through the receiver for sound or you can plug in the tv audio in.

AM,NEED REMOTE CONTROLL DENON AVR-3802 HOW I,BUY?

I had the same problem. Unfortunately Denon no longer mfgs. the remote for this receiver,
their solution is to offer a remote for a "similar" model. Problem is it doesn't work on all the
functions for the AVR-3802. My solution was to purchase an aftermarket universal remote
(Logitec Harmony 550 in my case}. The cost was a little less (approx. $90) vs. the price
quoted by Denon (somewhere around $120), and it works on all the functions.

I don't know if a budget priced remote (All-in-one, etc.) would be able to do th same.
There are several different programmable remotes on the market that should do the trick,
Logitec just happens to be one of them.

Good Luck

Denon avr-1907 sound from TV stopped working

Help with hooking PS3 to a Denon Receiver. It worked before, but I had to move everything to a different location and when I hooked it back up the PS3 has sound but no picture. I have it hooked directly to the receiver with and HDMI cable (the receiver is hooked up to our cable box which is directly hooked to the tv via HDMI cable).
