I had this problem it turned out to be a paper jam I could see it sitting under the front rollers behind the ink cartridge transport.
I removed the back panel and then the transport cover exposing the paper. I then gently removed the paper. That sorted it no problems. PIXMA MG7520 Removing jammed paper cassette 1 automatic double sided...

Canon PIXMA MP830 all-in-one Inkjet Printer
Error code 5C10 on computor screen and on the printer it says 6A00
SOURCE: getting error code 6A00-Canon PIXMA MX850 all-in-one printer
The error indicates that the slide the cartridges run on has debris buildup or a component of the printer is blocking the cartridges ability to slide.
Steps to fix...
1. Unplug printer from power source
2. Slide the cartridges to the middle and inspect the slide for a buildup of "gunk" or pieces of debris. Remove what you see and clean the slide with a lint free rag and isopropyl alcohol
3. Look for any part of the printer that may have become dislodged or moved from vibaration and use and try to put it back in to place.
4. Get some "canned air" at any computer or office supply store and blow the printer out thoroughly.
Plug the printer back in and it should work again.
SOURCE: Canon Pixma MP600 - Error Message U052 ... incorrect print head
my 1 yr old MX855 got the U052 message after I replaced 2 cartridges.
Called Canon Support. They said this has nothing to do with the cartridges.
Printhead is damaged or not set right. He walked me through resetting it.Open lid, remove cartridges, lift gray lever and pop it open to the top. Remove black plastic box which holds cartridges. Inspect bottom print head. If shiny and clean, re-insert it. Lower grey lever which is spring loaded. When it snaps down it holds printhead in place. This worked for me.
