M1 and similar super automatics have quite a few "lock out" functions. Some can be bypassed temporarily but most require some cleaning or scheduled maintenance. Call your vendor to check. Most common are (in frequency order)
1. Cleaning cover was unintentionally lifted. You must perform cleaning cycle to clear (8 mins to perform).
2. Scheduled cleaning (before start up, mid day, end of shift, end of day depending on what was programed in.)
3. Scheduled Maintenance (tech required to clear - just like your car maintenance light.)
4. Semi annual and yearly Maintenance (same as above) This is a Must! Gaskets, filters, valves, switches needs cleaning or replacements.

Note; There is quite a few places in the M1-5 series that accumulate coffee dust and grounds. Especially when fine grounds for extreme creme settings on grinder(s). Operators may forget to empty the coffee "pucks" which fall behind the dregs slot and get into the inner workings. Especially if you find coffee grounds or dripping liquids under the machine. Don't let operators keep syrups on top of machine as the spills drop into the internals. Qualified maintenance is a must for all super automatics. Remember as a owner operator of a fine tuned espresso machine you might get away without the "Super Barista" labor. So use that savings to keep your machine in top condition!

How do I get the M1 coffee machine fram La Cimbali to stop beeping constantly?

* M1 (M2, M50's, M39's) Especially "Super Automatics" and any newer machine with the "round metal button" that doesn't seem to do anything. Will give an audible and visual read out of what needs to be checked or performed.
* The most common with the super automatics (it does everything from grinding, dosing, and sometimes auto frothing.) is the clean cycle warning. Usually there is a requirement to add a cleaning pill (for coffee) and/or cleaning solution (for milk products). Frequent daily cleaning is required to keep these "Robots" in top condition.
* Full dregs (waste coffee) drawer. Remove and clean out. Close cover completely.
* A less frequent alarm is the quarterly or semi-annual maintenance warning. This will continue to warn every morning at start up, but is usually silenced once the machine is put into operation. Though some units may still display a warning. Note: If this warning is ignored, there is a "lock out" if it passes 6 months. (well it did when I was still working. Cimbali may have dropped this option.)
* Any unit will alarm if there is a critical fault in the system; Jam motor, Full dregs drawer, Low or High temperatures, etc. All require a qualified service tech to check, repair, and reset equipment.
* Which brings us back to the "do nothing button". It's the "Key" we use to service these Chimbali machines. The tech needs it to clear alarms and program the equipment. Customers are allowed to make some changes to the dosing and a few other settings. But most settings have limits that will damage the machine if disregarded. (like over grinding too much coffee, trying to compress it into a small puck. can't, will break the drive motor.)
* Still buzzing? Call vendor for service.

Chimbali m1 water

Maybe the machine needs a cleaning. White vinegar usually works pretty well.

La cimbali m1 machine won't heat up

No heat can mean one or more problems. A few checks can help keep your service expense down. Check power to machine; breaker tripped? Is it plugged in COMPLETELY? Digital displays also have programmable on/off times (some include the days of the week). Time and day/date set correctly? Multi turn selector switch broken or loose? Tank filled properly? (Site glass showing water at correct levels?). A qualified technician can check the heater overheat thermostat (or thermal fuse). Broken heater elements or wires. Pressure gauge. Tank overflow safety switch. And finally blown digital power switch, coil contactors, power board, and main PC Mother board. There may be other problems but these are the most often occurring in order of severity (and expence)
