I have a 2003 Toyota Hilux ute that need the right hand marker light changing, but the light itself is hard to get at.

This is usually a problem with the master/control actuator, this is the drivers door actuator, will need to strip out and check for faults,

the best brand is commodore brand and they have a huge range to suit most every vehicle

When a battery is replace there is a possibility that certain elements of the CPU program become corrupted. Try using a scanner to reset the CPU program in the ECM to see if that turns on the immobiliser section.

A rubber mallet is the trick, there is no tool. Even a stick of wood in a pinch. A soft blow or two should break the seal.

The vehicle chassis ground or negative is opposite to the stereo. The aerial is vehicle chassis ground (earth), when touched to stereo results in direct short. If the Hilux is positive ( + ) chassis (earth) and the stereo is negaitive ( - ) ground, there is the short. If this is the problem, either replace with a compatable stereo or compatable vehicle.
