My 2006 GoldWing GL1800 started a ratchet Knocking noise when I ease off the trottle. The motor bike just turn 62,000 miles or 100,000 km. Acceleration is no problem only in slowing or down shifting. Engine or transmission Problems ????? Gilles

It sounds serious, cam chain tensioner or conrod bearings, get it looked at fast before it causes more damage.

I loved my GL1200, you burned out the Main Fuse or the Fusable Link,. Once you replace that, you will breath life back into your Wing.

Gl1800 reverse stopped working. I haven't used the bike since last oct/nov and everthing else seems ok. presume reverse must have same fuse as starter motor but not shore. Any ideas?

There is host of problem incured with this. The linkage to the starter motor maybe out of adjustment. The switch push for reverse and the light will come on the dash. That switch can cause problems. The whole switch assembly has to be change/not cheap. Try some WD-40 and work the switch back in forth. Go to Goldwing Goldwing there are good help manuals for all goldwing. To check reverse start motor and leakage require a lot of space.
