Replace or have the powrer supply tested and eventually serviced.
Lightning strikes affect two types of boards in televisions - the power supply by means of entering through the AC line and main boards by means of entering from the external signal sources. External antennas are worst and can totally toast the main board whereas a signal entering through HDMI cable from another device is less likely to be affected by a power surge.
So naturally you start your quest with the power board , which is the usual suspect.

As of right now I do not believe we have an announced service for the power supply board of Sanyo LCD-24K50, but if you do not have any other options you can always try and send the power board for examination/repair through
http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/newservice.

Good luck!

Possible that the power supply has failed . you must open the rear panel to look into the power section only if you are capable to handle power electronics.

SOURCE: A couple of days ago lightning struck really close

At least look at the main AC fuse (F1) in the power supply module, and also look to see if any of the MOV's has blown.

Recently my house got struck by lightening. It blew a few things out, one being the tv. It's a Sanyo Dp39842 42", green light comes on showing that its turned on and sound comes out but no picture.

You need to report to your homeowners insurance. It is normally about as cheap to buy TV nowadays as to repair. Especially one hit by lightning.

Can't find a fuse replacement...

We can't predict which components have been damaged due to lightning. Sometimes, a fuse only, otherwise more other components might have damaged. Anyway, if fuse should blow out, surely there will be any more reason. You should find it out first, before replacing the fuse. If not, more damage can be occur. Check for any shorted components, diodes, capacitors etc: at its main power supply regulator board. Be sure that there is no other defect occurred.

Got a 47 inch flat screen sanyo. tv will power on get a picture for about 10 sec and then turn off. transformer outside of house was struck by lightning

Sound like you had a power surge that has taken out the invertoer power supply capacitors...these are electrolytic capacitors that will be taken out by surges(it's a veryu common problem)..you can take the cover off the back and look for the power supply board(it will be the one with the ac line cord going to it...look at the cylindrical components on the board to see if they look bloated of have some fluid leaking out of them..this would indicate a bad capacitor...if you don't want to take the unit apart you can take to a shop and have them look at it...note: If you own your home and you have homeowners insurance..it should cover the tv if you had a close lightning strike...just a suggestion

TV won't turn on

It may be too late for this advice, but if you live in a lightning prone area, you should consider having a 'whole house surge protector' installed.
The cost should be well under $300 (a lot less if you install it) and with the included insurance (most often for $25,000) it is a good investment.

If your house was struck, I'm surprised you don't have a list of things that no longer work.
It could just be an expired TV.
