LG Flatron - Power button flashing blue

My LG flatron W2234s 21Inch Monitor Will not turn on, I power it up and the LG logo doesn't appear nor does anything once I start my PC. The power light is pulsing blue and after several attempts at unplugging it in and out I still have no joy. The problem is not my video card because my second screen works fine in both DVI ports. Help!?!

Same problem on my machine. I turn on the computer, and the monitor power light pulses on and off.

If I switch off the screen at the wall, and turn it on again about 5 minutes later, it works. However, in all cases, all webpages, documents, Outlook, etc, look different. Either the resolution may have changed, or another display setting. Everything looks slightly wider.

If I try altering a display setting, the screen goes blank again, and I have to turn the power off and start again.

I'm running a Nvidia Quadro FX 3400/4400. Not sure if it's the graphics card or the monitor playing up.

Same problem here, changed a graphics setting in Team Fortress II, and everytime my computer enters a game or enters a screen where the entire screen goes black, it seems to register it as going AFK and my monitor seems to go into Standby mode or something along those lines.

    Driving me crazy..

Lg w2234s-bn Monitor Cycling randomly through Light View Modes/Power Button turning It's self on and off.

On and off cycleing could be caused by a bad power supply or a low battery on your remote. Check them both out. Good luck.

Try changing the Resolution for the lowest one, if it works it will see the letters and everything very big. I have same trouble, specially since I change the original Vista Starter for the new Windows 7, I have not found a free controler that helps me and I have seen many people with same the problem. Sorry for my english.

No picture lg flatron w2234s blinking blue light

Hi My screen developed exactly the same problem. It appears to be a hardwear problem associated with the screen it's self. continuity test is ok on the lead so I took it back to the shop under warranty and hey presto, the replacement works. I don't know what the problem is but there are a number of other folks on another thread with the same problem and their entries are dated May 09 too.  Dave

Lg flatron w2234s monitor is flashing ??

Hi,
The problem is the VGA part of the moniter is playing up. Two areas, one the MCU on the vga card, the other is a faulty transistor on the vga card. Repairs on a PCB VGA circuit are impossible with out the right tools.
The part number you require are Manufacturer Part Number EBU59489401
Board Numbers 791501300700R
For a replacement card
if no warrenty
Some thimes the 5 sec can be 20 to 30mins.
