SOURCE: Google Chrome hangs on startup
You have the latest version of Google Chrome - but it is still in BETA. I'm using the same version on Windows Vista Home Premium and I haven't seen the same problem. My advice would be to use a different browser such as Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer until Google Chrome is past the BETA stage gate.
See http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
You should also check that all your Windows updates are current.

You digitizer needs to be replaced. If you want to do it yourself, the good news is, it's not too hard to open it. Here is an Nexus One Repair Guide that shows how to open a Nexus One. Just open it and let it try, clean off any corrosion you can find. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to Nexus One Repair.

Uninstall chrome
Download the latest version through IE
Open the install package and install it again.
You can always try a 3rd party uninstaller. go to google and type in ccleaner. once it's downloaded run the installer. after you've installed it run the program and on the left side there is a button that says 'tools' click that. scroll down the list to google chrome. click uninstall. that should work! good luck. let me know if it still goes black

SOURCE: Nexus 7 wont turn on for longer than a second, then it says powering off.
Charge your nexus using the ASUS wall charger that came with your nexus.
Once you connect your Nexus to the wall, just push the power button once (do not hold). A battery animation should appear showing that the tablet is charging. Let it sit for a while, then power it up.
If you suspect it's a hardware problem and if you feel comfortable opening up your device, please let me know so I can give you a step by step walk through to figure out what exactly is going on with your device.
