Help I have a Lexmark all in one x7675 which I have been using without problems wirelessly. I am trying to use my home phone number as a fax connected to the printer. It seems to work if I ring it from my biz line (hear fax tone)but friend unable to send me a fax?

I dont; have the book for my printer, lexmark x7675; I NEED HELP TO INSTILL IT

No solution here - just confirmation. Mine say that it (the scanner) cannot save files to my hard drive, that it is full. That's far from true, but to a dumb accessory a locked target folder/directory will look like a full disk. Does anyone know where Lexmark parks it's temporary files? I've looked in all the usual places on my Mac, and can't find anything yet. (I have previously found a Brother parks it's initial scans, before you save them, deep in a normally inaccessible corner of the System folder.)

Hello. The cartridges may not be seated properly or just needs cleaning. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Make sure the protective nozzle tape is already removed. Wipe the nozzles of the cartridges using a damp paper towel. Unplug printer from power source, plug it back in after 10-15 seconds. When the printer's ready, reload one cartridge first. Close the cover, check if "out of ink" message is displayed. If not, proceed on loading the other cartridge. This is to check which cartridge is causing the problem. Try this steps maybe 2 or 3 times until the printer recognizes the cartridges. If problem persists, I strongly advise you to contact Lexmark at 1-800-LEXMARK(1-800-539-6275). You probably got defective cartridges.

The Lexmark OCR scan software can only be installed using the installation cd that came with the Lexmark X7675 printer. It's not available for download. If you don't have the installation cd or you lost it, I advise you to call Lexmark at 1-800-LEXMARK (1-800-539-6275). They can better assist you with that request. Hope this helps. Yes this is a problem that occurs with some new Lexmark printers. There is a patch that fixes it on the Lexmark website. You'll need to install the driver first then apply the patch.

I think it has something to do with enabling "Sharing" the printer from Windows. You don't turn that on if you are connecting the printer wireless - multiple computers can still use the printer. You may not need the patch if you leave sharing turned off.

yes! you can use any phone line to fax. if you want to receive fax, then you need to setup the machine to receive fax after the pre-define number of rings, and your home phone number.
