My frontload washer has stopped using clod water,i disconnected hoses and cleaned filters, cold water does come from hose when disconnected but clothes are very hot and have obviously been rinsed in hot when removed. all rinses are supposed to be in cold on this model(whirlpool duet sport)
I am guessing somehow the water hoses are hooked up backwards to the machine. Try reversing them.I am guessing somehow the water hoses are hooked up backwards to the machine. Try reversing them.

hook up hot hose and turn on the hot water and dont use hot water control it will not use no hot water ,but washer need to see the water pressure ,but will not use no hot unless you ask for it Sonny
Check that the unit has a good tilt back so the water will drain out of the back of the unit. Unplug the unit and use a hose to spray out the back of the unit and clean it out good.
E10 code indicates there is no water supply. This can be confirmed by :
Shut off the faucet to stop water supply to the washer.
Disconnect and pulling the supply hose off the washer to confirm the E10Code
Opening the faucet and watch for running water
E10 also means that your cold water is coming in too slow, disconnect the
cold water hose and check to see if the screen on your washing machine
is clogged. If the screen is clean and the hose has good pressure then
you will need to replace the water valve on your machine--- this is the
piece that the hoses directly connect to.
The mold will be growing in the upper parts of the agitator basket above the water line. Spray these areas with a bleach/water mixture using a spray bottle. Turn off the hot water valve to your washer. Disconnect the hose connected to this valve. Connect a leak free garden hose to the valve. Connect a garden sprayer to the other end of the garden hose. Turn the hot water valve back on. Check for leaks. Use the garden sprayer to rinse and remove the mold. Be careful to keep all of the water in the agitator basket. Turn off the hot water valve. Reconnect the hose from the washer to this valve. Turn the hot water valve back on. Check for leaks. Run a wash cycle with an empty load.
Replace the valve, or if new, have them do it. You are sure it is the valve and not where the hot warter hose attaches? Confirm by hooking up hot water under preasure to see if that seals itself.
Disconnect the hot water hose from the washer, put the hose over in the washer and run some water to make sure you don't have a plumbing problem. Look inside the valve where the water connects to the washer, there should be a screen that may need cleaning.
If everything looks and works good to this point then you will need a meter to see if power is getting to the water valve and to check the hot water solenoid on the water valve. No power to the water valve, then replace the water select switch. Bad solenoid, then replace the water valve.
I removed the top panel of washer(4 screws and slide). Then found the small 1/4" hose that goes from drum to drain hose to be pluged with goo. I cleaned inside of hose and washer worked fine.
All the symptoms described are typical of a water inlet valve that has either become clogged with sediment or has a solenoid failure. You can elect to replace the water inlet valve, or attempt to clean. Cleaning requires shutting off the water source and disconnecting the inlet hoses. Check the sediment screens in the water inlet valve and clean with cotton swabs and distilled vinger. Place the hoses in the wash tub and turn on the water supply to make sure the hoses are clog free. Sometimes a good cleaning can help. However, the majority of the cases involve replacing the valve.
