We have a Timber Top Pop-up Tent that was given to us without any instructions. We are trying to figure out the pole support assembly. I have never seen one that is all one piece with a hinged top. Can some one please suggest a sight where I can get the manual, or even who makes this brand of tent.

SOURCE: where can i get assembly instructions for great outdoor tent
You can get instructions for Great outdoor tents if their not too old from Great Outdoors Hastings
SOURCE: square tent with 2 types gazebo poles, varenda, 2 side windows
the 2 longest of the poles go in an x over the center of the tent and the 2 shorter ones go arch to the sides. http://www.wenzelco.com/details.aspx?NavID=412
shows a picture very similar to your tent. If you go to image 2 it shows it with out the fly. now if you got 2 sets of 4 poles, 2 long and 2 short, and one set is all aluminum, then I would go with the aluminum set. It is less likely to collapse in high winds.
SOURCE: I have a Thermos
I have one of these tents, here is how you operate it. When you pull down to set the tent, pull down on the larger fatter end. When releasing, pull down on the skinny side. I use the canvas bag to pull it down. That makes it easier on the hand. Or use work gloves.
Good luck

Remove the tent and poles from the packaging. Select an indoor area with a high ceiling or an outdoor area without overhead obstacles. The poles are not excessively long but they will be difficult to assemble without space.
Lay the Princess tent with the floor on the ground. Pull on each corner to tighten the floor. Assemble the two tent poles by inserting the male sections into the metal ferrules.
Slide one pole through each of the diagonal sleeves. Place the end of each pole in the fabric pockets on the corners. This will flex the poles and raise the tent body.
Place the fabric roof on top of the tent. Attach the hooks on each corner of the roof to the loops on the top of the pole sleeves. The roof fabric will stretch tight and cover the ventilation gap in the tent ceiling.
