Pioneer PDP-4270HD clock set is frozen. I can get into the clock setting section of the menu, but it does not update any of the changes I make when I press "enter" on the remote. Tried powering down (unplugging), no effect. I know TV Guide on screen is no more, but I can't even get current show names now when I press the INFO button on remote because the time is incorrect. Help?

Pioneer has this to say about the issue:

My pioneer plasma tv in standby mode and wont turn on

Try restting it by unplugging the tv for a few mins and it should rest to original factory default settings but leave it unplugged 10-15 mins to be sure.

No picture, red light on side of tv blinks 5 times in a row

Swens, not positive what your issue is. But, give a company named ShopJimmy.com a try for replacement parts. I have included a link to your model page from their site. Hope that helps!

How can I switch my screen resolution on the Pioneer PDP-4270 from 480i to 720i or 1080i? HDMI cable is connected appropriately. I have tried new HDMI cables, and pressing reset to factory settings along...

Change the resolution on the cable box or satellite box, witch ever you have. A set by itself cannot change the resolution, if the cable is giving you 720p, that's what you'll see for that station. All stations do not transmit in HD. The best picture is only as good as they're giving you.

Hello,

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this helps

Pioneer Plasma TV-PDP-4270HD won't turn on. TV

Try this! There should be a power button on the bottom of the panel that has to be depressed for the television to power on. It is the main power supply button and without it there is no power going into the TV.

Powers off by itself

You need a firmware upgrade that has to be done by a tech onsite. I've done many of them. 12 Blue blinks is a TVGuide download trouble and doesn't hurt the set but a firmware update should solve it. If it occurs again after that you need the Main Assy replaced but make sure the firmware is updated on that also.
Problem will go away
Hope this helps
