Does anyone know how automatically mark junk emails as read in Outlook 2007? I don't like how the folder fills up and shows all the messages in there. I notice that there's a utility/plug-in called Auto Read 2.0 that does this for Outlook 97 through 2003, but they don't have a version for 2007. Seems like it should be a simple rule filter operation, but I haven't been able to figure it out.
SOURCE: Mark all the messages as read in the junk-email folder as soon as it reaches
If you go to your Junk Mail folder, and you mark one of the messages as "Read", your total number of what appears to be new messages next to the Junk Mail folder in the list stays the same. This is so that you know how many messages are in the Junk Mail folder. The only option within Outlook 2007 you have, is to set it to permenately delete all Junk Mail, rather than moving it to the folder.
