SOURCE: NO SIGNAL PROBLEM

Please check whether the monitor is set to the correct settings. If you feel its incorrect, most LCD/TFT monitors come with an auto set up button which will restore the display to one that usually works. In case it still doesnt work, you might need to connect your pc to a different monitor and check the display settings. You could also try to download the drivers for this monitor and then re-connect the monitor and see if it works.

What happen if you use the VGA or the DVI ports? Do you get the pictures OK on the other two ports. Only one port at a time can be used.

SOURCE: asus monitor vw224u stopped working, found was

Try pressing the S/A button to change input sources.(the button on the far left on the front of the monitor) Chances are the cable got unplugged, then the monitor when into analog mode and its now stuck there, because many monitors default to analog.

you may need to change the HDMI board in the tv. it will be the hole board the parts are just to small to replace them all to get the HDMI board working again. find a second hand replacement. should be fine with another known working one.

Help with insignia 24 inch flat screen? the av channel will not show the channel where i can play my ps3?at?

It sounds like yoru PS3 has stopped handshaking with your tv. It can happen. It's possible your brother disrupted the connection by unplugging the PS3 before it was shut down. You can try turning on the PS3 first, and then turning on the tv, or vice versa. If that doesn't work, you may need to invest in a cheap HDMI splitter, to plug the PS3 into, and then send the signal from the splitter to the TV. It has happened to me with a computer with the same hardware, once with an LED tv, and once with my surround sound receiver, completely out of the blue. You can try switching HDMI cables, sources, doing putting the tv into maintenance mode and resetting the software. If none of that works, your only option may be to use an HDMI splitter. I did extensive research and read numerous reviews before I settled on this model, due to many recommendations:
ViewHD 2 Port 1x2 Powered HDMI Mini Splitter for 1080P & 3D ' Model: VHD-1X2MN3D
It's available on Amazon here:

Just in case your HDMI cable was damaged when your brother unplugged it, go ahead and get yourself a decent HDMI cable. The Amazon HDMI cables work just fine.
