Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer Logo
Posted on Apr 20, 2009

I have a bath mat that I washed in my duet washer successfully twice. Now when the cycle is complete the bath mat is drenched and apparatly no water was extracted from it. I'm frustrated. Another frequent occurence is that the digital timer will indicated 1 minute left and the cycle continues for what seems like 5-6 more minutes.

I washed a rug today and the same thing happened. Please help!!

I washed my bath mat regularly with my old washer. Not very happy that it cannot be done with the brand new "state of the art" washer. I should have had my old one fixed but the serviceman did not recommend it. Still open to any other solutions.

The filter is probably dirty. To check, remove front panel under door, put bucket in front of unit, unseat the feet holding the white plug and pull plug to the front of the unit, unscrew white plug, allow to drain into the bucket, then remove filter and clean it. Screw it back in, push plug back into the unit, reseat the feet, replace the front panel. Try washing now. But it is not recommended you wash a bath mat, as the rubber will disintegrate and plug the filter.

Out of balance with wet, heavy rug.

Bathmat is border-line on being excessively heavy (wet)
Do not use in washer. The fact that you got away with it before is your hint NOT to do this again or else bigger problems???

Will not complete the rinse cycle and the error message is "OE"

Try using the slowest spin speed setting for a load of this type. (instead of the fastest)

Read a post from someone else on this - turned out it works fine, just wouldn't work with the small wet load. I added towels to the bath mat load, washed them, it spins fine. Washed clothes & that worked fine too. Yay!! Not broken. Just not found of small loads of bath mats!

Calypso washer - LD Code - clothes still wet

harborstuff,
The code on your machine stands for 'Long Drain'. Ld flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets. I would bet that the bath mats left a bunch of stuff stuck in the recirculation pump hose, or pump itself, and the water cannot be drained fast enough. Check the intake and exit hoses of the recirc pump. It's easiest to get to the pump through the front panel of the machine(click here). Looks like this: click here. Hope this helps.
(Definitely get under there and check to make sure the pump hoses are not clogged. At $129 it's an expensive fix for a $10 bath mat that clogged up the hose with fuzz. 'know what I'm sayin'' :o) )

-samson39

BTW, I have the maintenance manual & have experience at replacing the recirc. pump, control board, motor board, touchpad, & lid switch so far.

Washer stopped at begin of wash cycle

The problem seems to lie in the rubber backed mat. If the rubber has begun to peel of the mat it often-times get stuck in the drain pump. The best thing to do at this point is to disconnect the electrical cord, open up the machine, drain out the water as best as possible disconnect the power cord to the drain and the hoses. Clean out the drain pump. reassemble. You should be good to go., Unless the drain pump is burned out (left running plugged up too long) if thats the case, replacement of the pump may be neccessary.... Hope this helps...Good luck!.... LG Washing Machine stops spinning in mid cycle

IE:

• Water supply is not adequate in
area.
• Water supply taps are not
completely open.
• Water inlet hose is bent.
• The filter of the inlet hose clogged.

Solution:
Check another tap in the house.
Fully open tap.
Straighten hose.
Check the filter of the inlet hose.

UE:
• Load is too small.
• Load is out of balance.
• The appliance has an imbalance
detection and correction system. If
individual heavy articles are loaded
(bath mat, bath robe, etc.) and the
imbalance is too great, after several
attempts to restart the spin cycle the
machine will stop and the error code
will be displayed.

Solution:
Add 1 or 2 similar items to help
balance the load.
Rearrange load to allow proper
spinning.
