The filter is probably dirty. To check, remove front panel under door, put bucket in front of unit, unseat the feet holding the white plug and pull plug to the front of the unit, unscrew white plug, allow to drain into the bucket, then remove filter and clean it. Screw it back in, push plug back into the unit, reseat the feet, replace the front panel. Try washing now. But it is not recommended you wash a bath mat, as the rubber will disintegrate and plug the filter.
Out of balance with wet, heavy rug.
Bathmat is border-line on being excessively heavy (wet)
Do not use in washer. The fact that you got away with it before is your hint NOT to do this again or else bigger problems???

I washed a rug today and the same thing happened. Please help!!
I washed my bath mat regularly with my old washer. Not very happy that it cannot be done with the brand new "state of the art" washer. I should have had my old one fixed but the serviceman did not recommend it. Still open to any other solutions.
